Hello, i recently got a 2002 gt from somebody that did all new springs, struts and swaybars. It’s got a horrible clunking noise coming from all 4 struts. I’m not positive what the issue is and the guy I got it from wasn’t very clear about it either. I do recall he said it’s something to do with the bushing that sits in the middle of the tower and mount but it’s weird that all 4 would be bad considering it’s all new? I’ve tried tightening the top bolts and nothing. Hoping someone could help me solve why this has been happening. I attached two pictures of the front mounts, is there a way to upload a video? thank you

If you stop using the app and just run the full site on your browser you won't get all that weird crap in your title/messages.

what shocks/struts are in the car? does the rear do that too? I would look up instructions on the camber plates - and check the threaded section of the strut UNDER the strut tower - is there a spacer down there? there might need to be one to hold everything in place

The struts could also be under tightened you do need a wrench and whats called a drag link socket to tighten the front struts- The drag link socket looks like a giant flat head screw driver - otherwise you just end up spinning the threaded shaft within the strut - it doesnt tighten properly and spinning it can supposedly damage the strut.

lastly Id look and make sure the spherical bearing in the CC plates arent also moving but I dont think they could move up and down that much.

I would NOT be driving it like that

If both struts and the rear shocks are doing this I'd suspect improper installation.
