So.... The block and heads are done. Crank, rods, and pistons have all been balanced. The block is going together this week. The suspension and all the rear end work has been completed.

More to come.

Thanks to NA SVT for knocking out degreeing the cams this week. The long block is together and will post pics later.

Factory the cams were set at 112.5/106 and 121/109.

After swapping out the two piece crank gear with a one piece he dialed it in at 110-112 for intake and 116-118 for the exhaust. Not sure what the final numbers came out at.

Awesome, can't wait to see more progress.
There's another thread in the blower bistro where another member degrees his stock cams to 114 and picked up a 30hp.

Yup... Spot on with those numbers. Todd (NA SVT) said there should be somewhere in the ballpark of a 30hp increase. However, keep in mind that is mid-range as opposed to top end/overall. Should be a fun ride with all the hp/tq down low!

05Satin - I thought about it but just can't do it! That's the kick ass part about the build! For anyone who knows our cars they'll be able to see it for what it is. For myself, it's a riot to have a '99 with the powerplant we've put together. It's one thing to start with a Terminator but it's another to build a NA car up to what this is becoming.

VMP - Thanks! Next stop is going to be a 2.9 or a TVS... Not too sure. After seeing the 700rwhp off the latest dyno the TVS has definitely caught more interest. The next leg on this build will be the tranny and a new blower to get me to 700rwhp. Everything else on the car is there to support it.

Mystic - Good luck with your build. I'm at the point where I just want it done and the car back. Between the Eaton swap from last year and now this build the car has been down for the better part of 18 months. Prior to that I didn't really drive the car.

The fun and excitement of the build is long gone... After all the $$$ and time I have invested into getting the right parts, finding a builder, and waiting for the build to be finished I've lost nearly all interest in the car.

I'm sure that will change when I get it back but until then my focus has shifted to BOATING SEASON!

Long block is done. Motor, clutch, and tranny are together and sitting in the bay on the new Energy Suspension motor mounts...

So now all that has to be done is to install the starter, alternator, pulley bridge, front accessories, radiator, heat exchanger lines, hoses, intake, supercharger, injectors, fuel rails, throttle body, plenum, maf, intake, connect all the wiring and harness, wire and prep the hat/fuel pumps, install the tank, fuel lines, interior, exhaust, SOS gauge pod, oil pressure gauge, fuel pressure gauge, raptor shift light, and the sleuth of other parts buried in all the boxes of parts..

Hey, at least there's some progress.
