I am looking for a cheap hood to mod with louvers for heat extration. I found a 1999 new edge hood for sale. Does anybody know if it will clear the Eaton blower? Thanks

It should I have an eaton on my 99 cobra with no problems
It will clear the Eaton with no problems, but there will be contact between the front edge of the hood and the top of the bumper cover.
Hmmmm, I guess I could grind the hood to fit?
From what I hear the non cobra hoods are 1" shorter in length. A member recently had a body shop put a std hood on his car and it was a definite no go. Think it's in the Talk section.
They are longer in length. That is why they will rub the Cobra's front bumper cover.
All you have to do is remove the little clips, push each side of the bumper cover in, drill new holes and put the clips back in
