I had corrected these two Cobras for the owner earlier this year and he wanted them to be permanently sealed. So these past two weekends I stripped and prepped each one and then applied Opticoat. Not many pics because I already posted how they looked on the write ups earlier in the year but I did take a few, here they are.

Car looks Great. I read your other posts and good info there....
I getting ready to opticoat my 2012 black gt daily drive......
Have you used any of the optimum hyper polish or compound for corrections? If so what are your thoughts??
I'm thinking about using them with a cyan hydrotech pads.
Not really sure how hard the paint is....but this could be my starting point

Thanks

Dave

Thanks guys. As for the optimum polishes I have yet to try them I like to stick to Menzerna and Scholl Concepts for compounds and polishes I have found that they work the best for me. As for the hardeness I have heard that black vehicles from ford tend to be soft yet I have yet to encounter one every ford vehicle I have done has has a medium to very hard clear coat depending on its year. I will say this I corrected a 2011 race red GT/CS it was the hardest clear coat I ever corrected. At that time (about 4 years ago) my only option was using my makita rotary a 3M wool pad and M105 because anything else wouldn't do jack. I also corrected a 2014 black GT500 this year and it too had a very hard clear yet this time I belive I used my Rupes with green uber pads and Menzerna fg400 not 100 percent on that combo but you can run a search for the thread and I listed what I used. Hope this helps.

Danny
