Don't I know it. When I was 16 my dad gave me the only car in the family that was paid off at the time and it was a black on black 1992 coupe. I loved that car and drove it into my early 20's when it was stolen from an apartment complex. A few years later I found another one and had that one for a number of years but it was a 2nd car and my situation at the time couldn't justify it so I sold it. Third time is a charm. It might take me some time and cost me money but I'm not in a rush.

No leads but I'd be thinking 40 grand pretty easily and likely closer to 50 to get someone to sell theirs.

That's a lot of coin. It will depend on many factors to pull 40-50k for a non cobra or Saleen fox mustang.

I'm guessing the black on black coupe is super rare?

Rare, desirable... me and I'd guess others would take a clean, low mileage black on black coupe OVER a Saleen or basic 93 cobra all conditions being equal.

The notch vs. hatch mentality strong.

It's not even about pulling that much money as much as it's luring someone into even selling a nice one.

Actually the lx hatch and GT's are catching up. I've seen plenty of them sell for "notch" money. I have a couple foxes. A notch and a hatch. I've always been more of a hatch guy.

Just depends on the person. I still don't see that 40-50k unless it's a sub 5k original car.

This one has a grey interior, so I assume you would not be interested…. But just in case-

^ Thanks, and sorry for the double post then- I hadn’t clicked on the eBay link. That particular dealer in Sherman tends to have some nice cars… and while still charging dealer prices, isn’t as bad as some IMO.

EDIT- I’ll keep an eye out and pass along any that I see that are priced high… if priced well, I’ll buy it myself :)

Well now he said he doesn't want to sell it cause he won't be able to find one later if he wants another.
That's exactly right.

+1 good foresight. wish I had that handy in years prior! While there's no getting around the price point, fox-centric Facebook groups seem to be the most popular outlet for moving quality cars these days. There seems to be an endless amount of groups oriented towards this, but here are a few to follow:

- Top Notch
- Ford fox body cars for sale
- James Corey's premium fox body coupe notchback
- Find a foxbody
- Fox body coupes only finder
- 79-04 fox body + SN95 mustangs for sale.

Good luck!

Beautiful car.

And someone has to eventually do a reproduction Fox coupe Dynacorn body right?

Wonder how long it'll take to sell.
I was wondering the same thing. I believe it been up for at least a few days, maybe closer to a week.

It's crazy, but eBay is where I found my reef blue.
