I already have a couple FE powered’66 trucks. Have a 393 ready to go together with machine work all done. After spending 5k just on EFI for the 482 I had enough. I can make a bunch more TQ & HP for fraction of cost with 213 cu in 6 cyl. I like the FE stuff but far too costly for amount of power made. The 393 very low RPM build idle to 4000 rpm would be cool but not enough power for a 24,000 lb truck. It’s slated for ‘66 clone of one my dad bought new. New 7.3 10R140 has a very slight possibility as much cheaper than FE but it will most likely get Diesel of some sort. 7.3 gas too fuel hungry for long distance cruising. the N700 Crew has 6.50/9.04 gearing it’s gotta have overdrive unless I do frame swap but at that point no use old school on engine. FE/FT good for local cruise night n shows but long distance cruising no way. My ‘66 F600 FT 361 got 7.0 mpg. First thing wife asked was if I was going to upgrade engine and drivetrain for better MPG. She is a accountant so MPG Does Matter! Lol
