Looking for a new street tire for the 18x11's. Right now I'm on a Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S 305/35R18 and they don't hook at all in 2nd and barely in 3rd and really haven't since day 1.

I've upped my power level since last season and my new power level is roughly 140 / 10.2-10.4 (with Mickey Thompsom 15" slicks which are amazing, 1.4-1.5 60's).

Anyway I'm looking at something like these.

Anyone tried these?

Here's what I'm currently on. They're about $100 more per tire and more grooves for rain. The car never sees rain. I think for $260 I'm going to give these a shot. They Hoosiers ARE about a half inch shorter in height (3.75" compared to the 4.25" Mickey Thompson's).

Have you tried the Street Radial R’s? I am running the 18 305/45. No numbers yet as the track is closed but the compound is nice and soft. Much softer than the NT05Rs I was ruining before.

I was looking at those too, they're $100 more and they're also a VERY tall tire (about 5.5"). Do you have any pics of them on your car? Most importantly how do they hook for you on the street?

The 555r works pretty good in the rain. Before I knew to be cautious with them I rode over a hundred miles on the interstate in the rain.
