17x10 wheel, what tire size?

So I'm looking into getting some wheels that measure 17x10 (not 10.5).

What size tire do I need to get for these?

Is a 315/35-17 too big for that wheel?

Enter 245/45/17 as the stock tire, then enter the 315/35/17

It's an exact match with speed for the stock size.

285/40/17. a 315 is a little too wide for a 10 inch rim. The only exception is a Nitto 315/35/17 Drag radial which runs small so getting it on a 10 inch wide rim wouldnt be too much of a problem.

315 would look good.... tirerack has a cool chart the goes with the tires that will give you an idea of what side would fit on what rim.... kinda cool too

Is anyone running the BFG KDW NT 295x35x18 with a 10" wheel on a 2001 vert? I just received my and they hit the IRS mount and bolt. I know there is an IRS bolt kit that does not stick out as much but will I still need a spacer? And not sure about using a spacer as much as I just paid for the wheels and tires they should fit with out a spacer.

is your car lowered at all? that helps move that stuff out of the way that is rubbing.

Not yet but it will be in the next few weeks. I plan on installing a set of Steeda springs and Tokico struts and shocks. Prior to using these wheels and tires.

sounds good. lowering will help with some of your clearance issues.
