IMO that's a no-brainer. Sounds like the Ford dealer wants a quick sale and doesn't want to put time and money into it. But come on, fix the motor properly and sell it at market value. They undoubtedly paid a low price for the car. With a sour engine, it's probably not going to sell any time soon at that price.
