My LCD started to fade and I started searching for a replacement LCD screen since the new dash is about $1k and I did not want to spend that kind of money and also you have to program the new dash so it's even more. So I took my dash apart to see if I could find a part number because on the web when I tried to find a replacement for the 13/14 mustangs nothing came up. But luckily there are plenty of replacements on the web and amazon but they don't mention anything for the mustang but trust me it work and you don't have to program the dash (But disconnect the battery before removal).
To replace the screen you have to obviously remove the 8 to 10 torx screws ( I believe is a T15). Then place the dash needles to they stops and take a picture for reference then remove the needles very carefully by placing them to their stops and turning them counterclockwise and pulling up at the same time (its going to make a sound that seems that you are breaking them but is not). Then remove the ribbon cable for the dash motherboard and remove the 4 small torx screws, you need to remove the ribbon cable from the original screen because the new screen doesn't come with one. Replace the screen and put everything back together and the needles have to go back in the same way it came out but this time instead of pulling up you have to push down and turning the needles counterclockwise until it reach its original position. Then assemble the dash and install it in the car. I hope this helps!!
The replacement screen costs $30.00!!
BTW I found this video very helpful with the needles.
