Agreed Ken. I wanted this car to scare me and it does in a good way. I like to hit it from 3500-4000 and that’s right at 900-950rwtq! Talk about throwing you in the seat and then not stopping til 7200 :) I seriously got the car home around midnight on Wednesday and scrambled to get it ready and loaded late Thursday. Never had driven it at this power level or used the 15” bias and adjustable suspension on track, Hell we installed Strange single adjustable front struts Thursday night! First pass was a 10.0, second spun bad and the third test run was a 9.77. I then had to just focus on making 3 clean passes in True Street. I was happy with a 9.80 average. Sunday morning I iced it down and ran the 9.55. For Mod Nats, if the weather is as it usually is, I’ll have at least 2 tenths in the DA plus I’ll have exhaust cutouts (probably some power there bypassing the stock mufflers) allowing me to use the WOT BOX 2-step launch. I may also try the no-lift shift, but I was rifling off fast 2/3 and 3/4 shifts all weekend. I will probably add a degree of timing as well. So, 9.20s and high 150s at Mod Nats? @Justin@VMP I wonder how much a Gen3R would gain? :) Plus I haven’t touched the NX spray bar installed in the lower intake, but that might be night to tap in 3rd down track. -J
