I am replacing my alternator with a StartNcharche 160amp unit. I also removed the lower crank pulley cage so to replace the inner serp belt.
Not that I am starting to put it all back together, the lower alternator bracket look kind of odd. I have the top bolt in place correctly. The lower left bracket hole is almost 2x bigget than the bolt. This seems kind of odd to me.
Is this just to allow a little movement during install? Its really not that big of a bolt that holds it onto the timing cover.
Seems kind of cheesy.
