03 GT with shifter issue.

Hi this is actually for my buddy. I ran against his 03 GT yesterday and after th 3 runs his shifter feels like jelly. It's the stock T5 shifter. It goes in gear like butter, usually shifers in cars like ours are tough. What could be the issue? Do you think a new shifter is necessary? I'm gonna remove the bezel today and see if a screw came undone. My old Mach's shifter was beaten to crap by me and no issues....

It has a TR-3650 shifter and yes they are very sloppy. Needs to get swapped for a pro 5.0 or MGW shifter. I like the pro 5.0

I've heard good things about Steeda too, I'm going with MGW if I ever get around to modding mine.

I just swapped my stock 3650 shifter for a pro 5.0 and its night and day. i should have did it a long time ago, the stock shifter has ton of play in it

I have Tri-ax and I like it alot. I have driven Pro 5.0 cars and others and honestly they are all very similar.
