I have an '03 5.4 liter V8 automatic F-150 and since it got cold here in TN, It's been acting stupid shifting. It shutters (barely, but it does) when shifting, it's only done it a couple times, haven't checked fluid level yet, but I will. I looked around and can't find any info on what the problem might be. Anyone else had the same problem? or better yet, know how to fix it? any help is appreciated.

I had the same thing happen to my 01 HD. However, mine did it all the time and the shutter started small and progressed to shaking the entire truck before it was repaired. It was a failed part in the transmission. I have the 4R100 in both my Harleys. Yours should be a 4R100 also.

If I were you, I'd take it to the dealer ASAP and have it checked.

Before you do anything, check the driveshaft for binding. This can cause all sorts of shifting issues.
