Just pop your hood and compare to the pic below. If your brake lines are like the top photo, you're okay.
If your brake lines are like the bottom photos, they will eventually wear through your radiator hose, your canister (whatever that's for) and because one of the two lines are severely crimped, ABS my fail to work when you panic stop on those 1 or 2 wheels. The lines are mis-routed. Please check yours.
It is located to the RIGHT of the air filter, and down below.
My build date was MARCH 2003 on a COUPE.
A new ANNIVERSARY coupe off the lot has the same BAD brake lines. They must be repaired under warranty ASAP. There is currently no TSB or RECALL, as I am one of the first to come forward to luckily have discovered this with the help of Dana and another user here who has the same mangled lines on a NEW Cobra.
Anyone that has lines looking like this need to call FORD's SVT line at:
1-800-367-3788
Have your VIN # ready so you can document this with them. We need to have this addressed so we can have a TSB or recall. They are making me pay for this out of pocket.
