What are people using for alternators for a track car. This is the 3rd dead alternator, first was stock, 2nd eagle, 3rd a rebuild of the eagle, which might have just died.

What pulley do you have on the alternator?
PA Performance (2606-HO) with a Metco 3.2 alternator pulley and PA Power Wire kit (9909).
I've always used a stock alternator in all my cars, with no issues. Recently I installed a high amp alternator from Ebay, on my GT, and that has done fine as well. You may have some other issue going on. If I was you I would go to Advance Auto and get me one of those lifetime jobbies and see what happens.
Battery could have a dead cell in it. That'll kill an alternator dead.
Ended up replacing the alternator with and Autozone one which ended up working, battery I don't think has ever been checked.
Yay! It works and is cheap.
