And they all have the 5.0

number of times: “oh man that got the 5.oh in it?”
Me: “It does have a 5.0 but not the same 5.0 you are thinking of.”

pre-2010 they thought it was the pushrod 5.0 and post 2010 they think it’s the 5.bro.

These prices are getting wild. I used to feel that I had a good grasp on the values of these cars.. Different price ranges for different tiers.... but I dont even know anymore. Here is a little bit of what I'm seeing

miles 120k+ asking price is around 15k
90k-120k asking price is around 17-18k
70k-90k asking price is 18k-20k
50k-70k asking price is 20k-22k

After that it gets real wild to me
40-50k asking price is 24k
30-40k asking price is 27-30k
sub 20k cars over 30k
sub 10 k cars name your price

Add 1-2k if tasteful mods are done... bigger blower, true forged stuff, nice wheels, fuel system ect etc

In 2013 I sold my black 04 with 50k miles for 17.5k
in 2016 I sold my SB with 37k miles for 19.5k
in 2018 I sold my MC with 24k miles for 25k
in 2019 I sold my DSG (roller) for 10k
in 2019 I bought a SB coupe with 21k miles and KB for 26k.

Has me thinking of listing mine for 35k and seeing if anyone bites.

I remember when I could buy a 65 fastback for $1,200. I remember when you could get a Fox Body for that price.

The 03/04 Cobra being only a 2 year run will go up in value. And if cars like the 65 fastback and Fox Body that were built in significant numbers are worth top dollar, I can only imagine where the 03/04 Cobras will go.

And that's great news for those of us who already own one.

You won’t likely get another one at whatever it sells for

These cars are approaching/at what MSRP was when they were released...

I've been thinking about changing platforms since 3 cobras ago and the higher these get in price make its more tantalizing.... But you are right, after I sell this one, it'll cost me a fortune to get another.

Realistically,

How much do you think I could get for this.

2003 Sonic Blue 22xxx miles
2.9 Whipple STD inlet (Gen 4), Riechard racing 3.2 upper pulley(also have the 3.5 whipple brand pulley), Accufab TB, JLT RAI, FIC 1000s, Fore L2 return dual 465s -8 feed/return, f3 controller, hobbs switch, fore regulator, fore rails and all fittings , AHR 1 3/4 3"catted xpipe EGR deleted, 3"Bassani Catback (polished), MM kmember and full front suspension including MM front/rear coil overs, AFCO HE, RXT clutch, MGW, Metco idlers, metco inner idlers, Metco lower with stock ring(also have 2,4,6 lb rings), Innovators West Damper, AFS 18x9 18x10.5 , Mickey S/S rears. True forged rad/ic/ps tanks, 10th anniversary shift boot, MGW gripper knob, powder coated valve covers, pulley bridge, custom cop covers. terminator door sills, terminator rad cover, MMR oil filter relocation KMJ 200 amp alt with big 3 upgrade. SOS pod with AEM wide band/Aeroforce interceptor. 99/01 tails, bullitt side scoops, mach 1 sail panels. XTS brakes 14inch front slotted rotors, 13inch rears. Grand mat designed TERMINATOR trank lid mat thingy.

All of this stuff has less than 1k miles on it.

I believe I'm the 4th, maybe 5th owner. Clean car fax never wrecked. Very clean I'd say a 9/10 car.

Man after thinking about all that stuff I don't think I could put a price on it lol.

I’ve had 12 of them over the years. Most recently I had 4 sonic coupes at once. Most had 10,000 or less miles and I didn’t have people knocking down my door at anything over $35k. And I’ve had some of the cleanest cars around.

ASKING PRICES are out of hand but I’m doubtful they are selling for anywhere near asking. Terminator crowd is an odd bunch. On FB the fan boys crack me up. Most are current owners trying to drive up prices which I don’t blame them. But most aren’t in touch with reality and we never hear actual sales data.

I feel the max on these cars is still $35k and usually that’s for 10k and under example. This speaking from my experience in selling 5 of these in the last 12 months.

Last year I got $45k for a 3300 mile CO coupe and $38k for a 3500 mile sonic coupe. Those were the outliers.

Wow, 4 SB Cobra coupes at once! And a total of 12 Terminators over the years. That might be close to a record. So most were buy & sell acquisitions?

How many do you have now? 2? I'm thinking the CO one in your signature is the one you sold last year?

That is correct Bob, 4 Sonics haha. I like to buy multiples of things. It’s a flaw of mine. I never buy these cars with the intention to sell, it just happens. Members reach out and make me an offer and the rest is history. I usually break even if not lose a little on them but I enjoy the thrill of the hunt.

I currently own 3 GT350Rs. I will always love the Cobras for nostalgic reasons but it’s very difficult to drive them once you have experienced the new technology.

I just found myself reaching for the cobra keys less and less once I got my first R. I’m sure I’ll own another if the opportunity presented itself.

i drive mine everyday and i love it. it gets all sorts of looks out on the road and lots of thumbsups. but to me the main thing is the fun-to-drive factor, and i think many enthusiasts know that and like the car which drives up demand
I got mine right before I turned 18. Back in November. I am still learning to drive her but I get tons of thumbs up from other mustang guys lol. I also notice tons of people in other nice cars notice me and turn their head XD
