What are the HP/TQ limits of a 2001 Mustang GT ecu? Would like to here if anyone has achieved 800 RWHP with the stock ecu safely? If anyone made more chime in please. Thanks for everyones response.
We have tuned a few in that year range in that power area without an issue. The main limiting factor is injector size and RPMs. If you need an injector sized so high that the stock PCM can't control it, you need a stand alone. But with the Ford 80's, and the big injectors offered by Injector Dynamics, this really isn't an issue, especially if you run a return style fuel system and up the base pressure. If you need to spin it much further north than 7000-7500 with a stock PCM from a 2001 2v it probably won't work well.
