01 gt auto, want to change to 5 speed

I have a 2001 mustange gt that was given to me by my wonderful mother for 2,000 dollars. i really would like to turn it into a 5 speed. can that be done, and if so whats the cost? thanks

$2,000!, sell it and buy one with a 5-speed.

I'm sure it can be done but probably pretty expensive and labor intensive. I would either get rid of it or wait a few years and get something else. Getting rid of it right now would probably hurt your mom's feelings. Even though you don't have a five speed you can put some nice bolt-ons on it and make it more fun to drive.:beer:

thanks for the help i think being 18 and poor bolt-ons sound perfect
