01 cobra versus 03 cobra

i raced one and beat the hell out of it....but it was being towed though.
Really short (high numeric: 4.30, 4.56 or 4.88) gears and "all the bolt ons" (without a power adder) and you should easily beat a stock '03 in 1/4 mile E.T. Bob Cosby runs elevens in a N/A "bolt on" '99 Cobra with 4.56s.
Your trap speed, however, will inevitably be lower than a stock '03. Even with the added weight of the '03, the blower makes for an exceptionally fast factory car, once rolling. My car made 367 RWHP with a drop-in K&N @ 1,100 miles. Sig numbers are with appropriate break-in (5,600 miles), 9" open filter and Flowmaster catback... Tire ripping power above 4,000 RPM in first, second AND third :-D (I even caught a fourth gear scratch @ 110 MPH whilst spanking a new 350Z on the highway :thumbsup: )

A mildly modded(4.30+, exhaust, tires) 99/01 Cobra should take non-pullied 03s till about 65-75mph. If highway racing you dont stand a chance
I have 4.30's, Borla Catback & a ProChamber. I beat an 03 out of the hole, but halfway through 2nd gear, he toasted me bad....

I have 4.30's and most of the bolt on's and make 305/300. At our last drag day I ran a stockish 03. RT was equal. He beat me by .2 in the 1/4 mile. He was running street tires and I was running ET Streets. When he finally stopped spinning and got it hooked up, he just pulled away...nothing I could do about it.
