Found you on IG, what is it with you CT boys and these crazy detailed builds. I want to add a cluster to my 03 TT Mach 1 so I can really see what my engine is doing. These dummy gauges ain't cutting it.
Haha, thanks man! Yea I know what you're saying. Mine is just an overlay I designed that goes over the stock cluster. I really don't look at them except for the speedo and tach, I use my Speedhuts for the rest.

I will say though, the water temp gauge from them hasn't been very accurate. I've been through 2 sending units from them, and at its highest temp reading, it's about 20* off. Pretty nerve-racking until I figured out the issue.

Great build. My only criticism is to remove the "V" logo from the calipers.

Great work getting them to work on a New Edge

Thanks, I appreciate it. I went out of my way to put the V logos back on, as it's a unique conversation starter when people see the car. Plus when the kit becomes available for sale, it's obvious what calipers they are. It's a "marketing" assistant for me, I guess you could say.

Thanks very much! It was definitely a long process, but came together in the end. I am very pleased with the outcome, and I have been driving the shit out of it since them. Obviously there have been little quirks here and there that I've had to remedy, but overall I can't complain.

Sorry to bump this thread, but are you making the brake brackets available to us? Either way sick car and attention to detail

Thanks a lot! I have a few sets out right now for testing. Once I've confirmed that more than one set (my own) are working as they should, I will open this up to a group buy, hopefully soon.

Thanks. For the response. Any ETA on when you would get some feedback back?

I'm interested as well

I will have one set installed on a buddy's car within the next few weeks. Once that's all set, I can hopefully start a group buy for another run of these things. Keep in mind there are spindle modifications, so I'm waiting for someone that will be doing the modifications them self (not me), to make sure the instructions are descriptive enough.

I will PM you both with details when I am ready for the next run.

@ninety5fiveoh yes keep me in mind. I am interested in doing this for my fox body. It’s already 5 lug swapped and would like to do “something different”. Also do you have a price in mind for the brackets? If you want you can pm me a price. Thanks again and in advanced.

I guess it's time for a MUCH needed update. I've had a few projects going on over the winter, and some carnage too. Check out what I've had going on!

After spending about 2 years driving the car on the street as much as I could, and working out many of the small kinks here and there, the goal was to get the car to the track. This meant doing a few things to the car to get it legal for 10.99 and faster, including a driveshaft loop and 6pt roll bar. I also added a few other upgrades along the way!

Koni Yellow single adjustable rear coilovers with Hyperco 500lb springs:

Installed...excuse the caliper paint, they are going to be redone shortly:

I also had a set of custom coil covers machined by Joel @ JC Customs with my logo on them:

Then I turned my attention to the roll bar which would be the main winter project in prep for the track. I purchased a Maximum Motorsports 4 point roll bar, and a few 6' lengths of 1.75" x .120' wall tubing to do my own cross brace and custom door bars.

Mocked it up, and laid out tape for potential cross bar designs:

Goodies from Summit Racing including my Rhodes Race Cars clevis pin setup for the swing-out bars:

Then I cut my doubler plates and swing out door bar mounts, and the tubes that they would slide into:

Cut and notched the cross bar:

Then I started the most tedious part of the job which was the custom door bars. My buddy who was bending the tube for me lent me his die from his hydraulic bender for me to heat and bend some PVC pipe over to make a template for the correct angle.

Bars bent!

Cut to length and height, and mocked up:

Machined the tabs on the correct angle for a better fit-up prior to welding:

Tabs tacked into place, along with the rear down bars and the diagonal bar:

Then I pulled it out of the car and brought it in my basement to finish weld...clearly not the most ideal table setup but I made it work:
