Hahah thanks a lot man. I did it because the MM arms were much beefier than these, both in tubing thickness, and in number of tubes/gusseting. I wanted to gusset where the bushing tubes meet the "V" on the inside, but the gussets would contact the k-member. On the MM arms, the gussets are on the outside, and don't hit the k-member.

FEA analysis is bullshit, I just also wanted to cut up a brand new set of control arms because racecar. And new fab tools.

Completely kidding, lol. I'm an industrial designer, we use FEA analysis at work a lot. I was alluding to the fact that it was completely unnecessary in this situation.

UPDATE: Brakes are in!

Everything bolted up very nicely, and should be ready to go once the new brake lines come in on Wednesday. I bought new MM braided lines, but I didn't take into consideration the length when the wheels are turned to full lock, so they are too short. Since a 20" braided line with the correct fittings on both ends didn't exist, I bought Allstar Performance 20" braided lines with -3AN fittings on both ends, and Fragola adapter fittings for 7/16-24 on one end and 10mm banjo fittings for the other. I also ordered 3/8" spacers and lug nuts so I can bolt everything up. I may get away with only 1/4" spacers in front, so I can always swap my 1/4" spacers front the rear to the front and put the 3/8" out back.

Once I've put a few miles on the car to assure they are working properly, I will start putting pricing together. Keep in mind there are quite a few modifications that need to be made to make these work, including cutting and drilling the spindles, and getting specific aftermarket a-arms. I haven't decided yet whether or not I'm going to offer this as a kit with the spindles already modified, or a DIY kit. The measurements are very specific, so I lean towards modifying them myself but I'm not positive yet. If you are truly interested, please send me a PM and I will add you to the list of people that would like to purchase. The more buyers I get, the cheaper the brackets will be.

Got all my brake line goodies, and lug nuts in:

ANDDD some extra lug nuts for something I forgot to post a few months back...

15x8 Weld RT-S, 4.5" BS...going to be ordering some 26x11.5x15 Hoosier QTP's shortly. Hopefully get this thing into the 10's no problem!

UPDATE:

Turns out the driver and passenger side hard lines are different sizes, so I need to order a different fitting. HOSED, once again.

In the mean time, since I can't leave well enough alone, I finally got around to "restoring" an old 50's Wilton 644 vice. I got it at the Englishtown swap meet a few years back with hopes of restoring it. Realizing it was unrealitic to make the vice look mint when I would be beating the shit out of it anyway, I decided to wire wheel, sandblast, and paint it and call it a day. AND of course, DHG all the things...

In the end, it's probably just about the same. If you didn't have to use the Team-Z arms (or already had them) then its a bit cheaper. I just wanted it for the coolness factor, uniqueness, and because I can't leave anything well enough alone.

Not sure yet, maybe American Muscle but it's a long drive. Time will tell I guess!
