For the metal tabs that hang the front splitter, can someone tell me if the metal tabs are supposed to slid below all the rubber like photo 1 below, or should the metal tabs stick between the rubber like is circled on photo #2? They seem to slide in under the rubber like photo 1 much easier, but then you have metal to metal contact of the bracket? What’s correct?

Yes, the tab goes into the rubber slot.

In your picture 1 you can see how the slot is there in the rubber mounts for the tab to slide into, NOT under it.

I’ve had times where I accidentally had one tab in the slot and the other underneath it, I’d take the splitter off and try again till I got it right

Thanks. How deep into the rubber should the metal tab go? The 2nd picture with yellow circle is my car, do I have the tag in deep enough? It was somewhat difficult to slide it in there, some lubricant helps.

As long as it’s in the slot, and your dzus fasteners line up with the holes, you’re good.

I think off memory the metal tabs only slide in about as far as what you’ve got showing in the picture.
