Up for sale is my 96 Cobra. Car has 30k miles on the chassis and motor, but the motor is hurt. I'm pretty certain it just blew a piston ring, but I haven't taken the motor apart. I was cleaning the IMRCs, key was accidentally turned on while the fuel lines were disconnected and pumped a bit...
Just did some maintenance on my car including IMRC cleaning. I was extremely careful not to drop anything into the intake ports on the heads...I checked and double checked everything before re-assembly. Go to start it up, cranks once or twice, hear a very loud metallic noise and shut it off...
Seriously, doesn't matter who I buy from or what I buy...chances are it will get ****ed up.
Ordered black chrome saleens from stage 3. Got 3 black chrome wheels and 1 standard chrome wheel. I emailed them for 6 months and was never able to get it resolved, they just kept blaming...
I think my wife is going to let me play with about $1000 maybe $1500 of our tax return...so of course I'm going to put that into the cobra
Right now I just have some minor bolt-on's and suspension mods...intake, pro-chamber, catback, coil overs, tubular k, lca, etc...
So what...

I currently have MM coilovers over Bilstein HD's with 400lb/in front and 275 lb/in rear springs...the setup is ok, handles great and all but there are a few problems with it.
I'm not sure if something is up with how they were installed, but the damn car is terribly bouncy. Sometimes going...

Right now I don't scrape on any speedbumps, driveways, no rubbing...but I kinda want a more 'tucked' look, especially in the rear. What do you guys think? Maybe a 1/2" down?
I just finished up installing MM kmember, coil-overs, etc and am concerned if it is safe to drive it to the alignment shop? I don't wanna hassle towing it if I don't have to, but I also don't want to risk anything if it's dangerous. The shop is like 5 miles away, 25-35 mph roads...
Also does...
This little mishap... :cuss:

I'm really impressed with the quality of the MM parts. Top notch stuff IMO.
Got the LCA's and half of the rear coil-overs installed tonight. I'll post up more pics as I progress...should be getting my black...
FS: 98 Contour SVT
Car was hit in the rear @ about 25mph. The rear bumper is shattered, part of the underside of the trunk is smashed as well. No suspension or other mechanical damage. Currently has a salvage title. Car runs and drives just fine.

Just picked this baby up a few days ago...wasn't really looking for a car, just sort of fell in my lap. '96 with 24k miles, bone stock...paid $8k for it.
She's in pretty good shape, interior is great, runs really strong. Only bad part is it was sitting outside (with shitty weather here in...
I'm at the point where I am going to start looking out of state for an 03' Coupe. I've contacted five SVT dealers in my area, and the cheapest one won't go below $3,000 over MSRP.
I know they don't give these things away, but I'm fairly sure they can be had for less than $38,000. Can...
