    Totally agree with this.

How do I get that cackling/burbling sound on deceleration?!?

This is about as close as it gets what I am looking for. Subtle but audible without being obnoxious.

Oh good gawd no. A thousand times no. I agree this sounds like total ass.

How do I get that cackling/burbling sound on deceleration?!?

Need help. I'm trying to figure out what exhaust system or what particular part of the exhaust system is responsible for giving that popping/crackling sound on deceleration. I've changed my exhaust system up a couple times trying to find it but so far...no dice. Right now I have Bassanni...

Guys need some exhaust help please...inside>>>

Hmmmmm mine is not like that...mine comes out of the header flange and is a full 2.5" from the X pipe thru the 2.5 inlet/outlet of the Stingers then out the back. Your comment about the burrbling on deceleration is starting to make me think the cats are the reason my car doesn't like most others...

Guys need some exhaust help please...inside>>>

No not selling the mid lengths; they weren't touched. Since I already had a full custom exhaust system, I saw no compelling reason to spend the $$ for the entire Borla cat-back system. I only needed the mufflers. I got in touch with Borla and asked for the p/n just for the S-Type Stinger muffler...

Guys need some exhaust help please...inside>>>

Ok I've gotta pick your collective brains a little and really hope someone can help me out... So I bought a set of Borla p/n 40842S (S-Type mufflers) that are basically what comes with the Borla S-Type Cat-Back exhaust system and installed them Friday. And now my car basically sounds like an old...

Fighting Belt Slip (Pics Inside) - Any Gates RPM Belt/GripTec Vendors?

How do you like the carbinite coated pulley? After seeing this thread, I reinstalled my carbinite 2.76" upper and cranked my RR tensioner down with 35 lbs. It's way tight now. And builds and holds boost better than ever if I'm being honest. Plus the belt dust is noticeably less. Obviously I had...

I've heard the same thing so you could very well be right.

Fighting Belt Slip (Pics Inside) - Any Gates RPM Belt/GripTec Vendors?

RR made 2 tensioners waaaay back in the day. One was a 'normal' spring style like the factory tensioner and even most aftermarket tensioners. Then they also offered the manual adjust with spring assist style. This one was insanely popular bc it has an adjuster bolt that you can manually crank...

Fighting Belt Slip (Pics Inside) - Any Gates RPM Belt/GripTec Vendors?

Ok so to be clear, does the Thump tensioner have the manual bolt you crank down like the RR tensioner does? I get it that it's spring loaded...they all are. Just not all have the manaul adjustment like the RR has.

Fighting Belt Slip (Pics Inside) - Any Gates RPM Belt/GripTec Vendors?

So curious, for you and the other guys who have carbinite coated their upper....are you still cranking down on your tensioner? Not sure if the Thump tensioner is manual adjust or just spring assist like factory, but I have an old skool Reichart Racing manual adjust with spring assist, and I...

Fighting Belt Slip (Pics Inside) - Any Gates RPM Belt/GripTec Vendors?

Curious, when you say coated do you mean carbinite coated? I had my 2.76" Billetflow pulley carbinite coated for my KB 2.2...and that was a mistake. I don't know anout you, but there is no amount of additional grip it 'might' provide that can make up for how brutal it is on belts. As it cuts...

    How many original owners left?

2nd owner here. Bought it from Jason Preusse off this very website Thanksgiving weekend 2007. Had 12,500 on it. Went thru the engine in 2015 with 31K on the clock. Shows just under 36K now.

    N2MB Rev Limiter Function

You're looking way too much into this. When you bounce it off the rev limiter/2 step, whatever... it's for a fraction of a second. The entire point of a rev limiter is to keep the engine from wind milling and potentially hurting it. Not the other way around. Cutting fuel or cutting ignition...

    N2MB Rev Limiter Function

I don't quite understand your statement about the factory rev limiter function and how cutting fuel could damage the engine. But that aside, no idea how others are doing it but my tune has the factory rev limiter disabled. Then simply set the global rev limiter on the WOT box to wherever you want.

    Another Spiraled Winter Build...

Gotcha and thanks for the info. To clarify, I only asked because I was curious what his temps were. I wasn't suggesting that I have the same blower and experienced radically high IAT2's or anyone else for that matter with that blower. To be honest, I was only curious because I still run the...

    Another Spiraled Winter Build...

Sorry to hijack your turbo build thread, but one more question on your 3.4 setup...you mentioned that your downstream air temps weren't as high as some might expect. What were they to be exact both cruising your car around in traffic and also staging before a pass and then right after? Thanks...

On your previous blower setup, what boost and upper/lower pulley setup were you running? Was that the factory longblock you mentioned before or after head studs?

Jlt cold air 04 mustang cobra advice

Curious, why are you pulling the valve covers off so many times it's not even funny? You must be a glutton for punishment or have a shit load of free time on your hands bc small battery powered impact or otherwise, there is no good reason to yank the valve covers on these engines just for the...

What is the Kenne bell 2.8 worth ?

Now we've got some good info from both sides. Time and time again, it usually comes down to what the person writing the checks is looking for. I love my old skool 2.2KB. At 20 psi it has a vocal signature unlike anything I have heard. Does it get hot? You better believe it does. But that's part...

What is the Kenne bell 2.8 worth ?

Meant to ask when I first read this...how do you qualify this? Where did you get/read this info? I'm just curious. I'm a KB guy myself but it just seems that all the buzz over the last few years has been the TVS blowers....not the ole tried and true screw blowers.
