I don't believe Ford will challenge the ZL1 1LE. Ford has it's hands full with the base ZL1. I have no doubt it'll out power it tho.

The LT1 was released in '14 with the Corvette, the Gen 2 Coyote in '15.
You keep wanting to talk about modded old cars with older engines when the discussion is about the upcoming (NEW) GT500 and the (NEW) 5.0's Ford is offering in the current cars.

My point is that while, yes, the OHV has it's benefits, there is no reason to make up some of the advantages that don't exist anymore. The LT1 is the current OHV engine in the Camaro, not the LS3. There is no reason to be talking about the LS3 at this point. Same with removing all of the...
The shipping weight usually comes in at ~100 lbs more.
Basically, my point, is that the current engines used by the Mustang and Camaro have near identical weights. The LT1 weighs 465 lbs, the Gen 2 Coyote 445 lbs., and I'm sure the Gen 3 weighs the roughly the same as the LT1. Listing the Chevy...
I'm sure the data it provides is valuable. It sucks to think though that some vendor probably sold GM 10 year old cameras for like a $1 apiece and then GM turns around and sells them for $1200. It's like GM didn't even bother to check the definition that the cameras recorded at.

The video quality is pretty bad, I'm surprised it's even 720p. My really old cell phone shot better footage, it's outrageous GM charges as much as they do, it's absurd.

The few M3 DCT's I drove were complete garbage and were not very fast to respond at all when shifted. I have never driven the PDK, so I can't comment on those, my opinions are only based on the crap BMW DCT's they offer.

But why even bother manual shifting an auto (DCT or TQ conv) at all? It's like pretending to drive a manual transmission car

I don't think Ford necessarily cares about sharing components they don't make for themselves. They shared the TR6060 with no problems with the GT500 before.

People loved the Boss and the way it drove and felt. It wasn't the absolute best in performance, but was really praised for it's fun factor.

There was no such thing as a 1968 Mustang Bullitt. The first Mustang Bullit was in this in 2001, so it's the 17th anniversary.

I don't think it was worth the wait. For Ford it may have been since they've pretty much sold all of them, but not so much for consumers. Not enough were produced to make them truly attainable for most, the prices asked by dealers for the most part took away any real value the cars offered...
Having driven a few TR6060 equipped cars (And my own T56 Magnum in my '69 Mach1), I would definitely lean towards describing their shifting towards "clunky" over "butter smooth".
They aren't bad transmissions tho, I do agree with the term "stout".

They aren't ugly, but look WAY to similar to a C5, which makes the C6 look like it was manufactured in the 90's. Great performers tho.

I got to drive one on a track (a little scary) and test drove a couple. Just have not pulled the trigger on one yet. If it had a special engine such as a Voodoo I would have. I'm not a fan of the sound of the LT1/LT4 at all (all Chevy small blocks actually), they just all sound like crap to...
That thing must be a handful to drive on the streets when pushed a little. I run a '69 Mach1 with a 427w (470rwhp), a T-56 Magnum, and 3.70's. Weighs in at #3140, car can spin the wheels pretty good if I punch it at 60mph, definitely have to be careful.

Not sure if I would do the same for my '69 Mach1. New car driveability sure sounds fun tho. My car can be a bit of a chore to drive, but it definitely has it's charm.
