My 03 just went over 100K a couple weeks ago and I figured it was time to change the supercharger oil, as I didn't think the previous owners had done so.
Old oil on the left and new on the right. I'm glad I did :)
The weather here was good for a top down excursion, tripped 99.9K in boost and then pulled over for the picture :). She's still looking good..got her mom's genes (on the left).
Good times :)
Last week, I hopped in the car and started her up. I noticed that she cranked a bit slow, but then fired off. I figured it might be my battery as it was 8 years old. I put the top down, secured the tonneau cover and hopped back in and hit the gas to back up.....she sputtered and died. I...
After lurking and losing multiple auctions, I finally bit the bullet and picked this up. Still NIB.
Sonic Blue, there is no substitute :) (Ok, yeah its stolen from Risky Business and Porsche, but apropos IMHO)
Today started as a "What did I do for my Terminator" day. I went down yesterday and picked up some oil and filter for a change. The 1000 miles I put on her going to the 50th at Charlotte, hit my change interval. So, out with the old and in with the new.
With that all finished, I had...
Replaced my MGW shifter handle today with the updated version. I chose the medium handle as it seemed the best fit for me.
Comparison of the two handles:

A little bit longer throw, but is much more adjustable for position. A nice update for...
I got out today an installed the gauges, Oil PSI and Water TEMP. I am still waiting on the correct threaded coolant plug for the water temp sensor. So the gauge, although powered is inop. For the oil pressure, I had to switch the stock sending unit to the spare spot on the oil cooler. The...
According the an article over on Autoblog, we may have a solution to replacement halfshaft boots. I'm making a call tomorrow. :)
Project Ugly Horse: Part VI
I called CV Unlimited as posted in the article and they said nope...damn.
Gauges arrived today and look great. Thanks again TRBO VNM :)
I'll put up an install thread soon. Car show this weekend, so I don't want to tear into it just yet.

Once installed, I'll get...
When I bought the vert, it had a well worn h-pipe with some welded in cats and a set of Borla Stingers with 4" tips. I'm not sure how long the cat-back had been on the car, but long enough for the chrome to begin failing on the tips.
My first attempt was to polish them...not a great...
Ok, what do you guys think about this?
Its brushed black 3M vinyl on the ac vent surround. (yes, I will redo this one) I am thinking of doing the center and shifter consoles too.
Subtle or rice?
Today, I decided to tackle one of the few remaining projects I had for my vert. I had a Memphis Car Audio / Pioneer system installed in my now totaled 99. When I bought it back from the insurance company, I removed it all and piled it in a corner. After doing some research, I picked up some...
Ok, after searching through the myriad of threads on gauges, there doesn't really seem to be a consensus what extra gauges are really necessary and what is nice to have.
Going for an almost factory look so Speedhut SVT are the choice. I think that one will be Oil Pressure and another an...
Ok, so the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem. I have a problem:
Todays plan was to remove and replace what I thought was a leaking windshield washer reservoir. A quick check of the Ford manual indicated it is a relatively simple job.
1. Jack up the driver's side...
I replaced the factory idlers with Metco idlers today and am waiting for a longer belt to install the auxiliary. I initially thought it would be difficult, but was I wrong...about 20 mins total. lol What did make it much easier was the Illuminup my wife got me for Xmas. For those of us...
Gents, I picked up some new coil covers from Summit last week. A little bit of paint and voilà.

99 Vert renewal - this will be fun - Updated 3/9/13
My 99 was totaled in July. It had an eaton swap and built IRS. So I bought it back from the insurance company and dis-assembled it. Some of the parts went on a replacement (03 vert) and the rest went into storage for possible future use...
I didn't want to just post this in the New Edge sub-section, so here it is.
I, like others, had additional chassis stiffening installed on my 99 Cobra. As described in multiple threads throughout SVTP, it helps tighten up the suspension, reduce chassis twisting, interior noise and helps put...
