I believe so. I also have Cardone on mine and know of another guy who races his with Cardone on his as well. With the track pads that we use, it didn't make sense to buy loaded calipers anyway. Mine is still streetable, so once I am done with my pre track check list, I will drive it for a bit.

Finally got the tires mounted and half of them on the car. I have it back in the air so I can flush the brake fluid, gotta get ready for that next track weekend!
Sorry for the crap pics but I'm in a one bay garage. Apex 18x9.5 +35mm I think. They fit without a spacer but I have a 12mm spacer for additional coil over clearance.
Personally, I run a track pad on my car but it sees maybe 500 miles a year on the street. ATS pads are the same as an earlier gt500 pad, so they're easy to get as a track pad too. The Cobra pads are thinner, that might be part of the issue. I'm not sure what he Taurus pad looks like.
I am running stock and haven't had much issue on my 98. Have been using it at the track for 4 weekends with good pads and fluid and it stops well and I have good feel.
Wanted to update the thread. I have been tracking the car for 2 years with some really good pads, motul 600 fluid and Taurus rear calipers to help with the bias without any issues. Car stops hard and it stays compliant. I have been to Nelson Ledges, CMP, VIR, and Mid Ohio. Heading back to CMP...
I can try to get some measurements this weekend when I'm swapping my pads and rotors for the track.

Yep, I have ATS fronts and Taurus rear. Works pretty damn good on track with a good set of pads.

FR500 for reference. I can get my fingers between the caliper and the barrel for most of the length of the caliper.

That's correct.
You can see the barrel gets smaller in diameter at the spokes. The FR500s have miles of clearance at both the barrel and the spoke. Luckily I borrowed a wheel from a track buddy so it didn't cost me anything.

I only had to put like a washer between the mounting bracket and the axle. I think the slop in the axle was enough for it to contact it when not centered. Again, this is not a taurus caliper issue, I've had a few friends state they needed to center the rotor in the bracket. The rotors I use on...
My issue was the rotor was contacting the original caliper bracket. Once I spaced out the bracket to center to rotor, the rubbing noise went away. It had nothing to do with the caliper itself, I think it might be the terrible manufacturing of the rotors out there.
