Yes Darien Connecticut to Redondo Beach, Portofino Marina California ..
31 Hours 47 minutes, holds both route and event records, and the NY Route is 50 miles shorter.
I sold the cobra and I wound up building my own engine out of parts laying around and was able to break the Cannonball event world record and I’m now top 5 time in the world in transcontinental runs. Thanks for all the advice. 31:47

Deleted was because the same post, posted twice. If you look (which I doubt you will) my comment is still there . Don’t know you’re cars... I know the federal law requires multiple Vins throughout vehicles and has since the 60’s. Sorry if you don’t know this. They didn’t just say in 1999, nobody...
The car in the photo IS NOT THE CAR IM INQUIRING ABOUT. That is a random online vin decoder. That picture is a generic picture that pops up when you enter a mustang vin. The point was proving to SHURUR he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. That a cobra indeed is vin specific
Not sure why it’s exactly any of your business what I do with my build, if you don’t like it keep scrolling and not trolling. Secondly all you have to do is a generic search to know the 47V is a Hardtop 32v cobra, as no other mustang was available with a 32v that year. If you’re too stupid to do...
Incorrect, a cobra Hardtop is a 47V as denoted by the VIN. V means 32v 4.6 engine that was only available in a cobra. There are Vins stamped in the wings under the aprons and often in various parts of the body. This car has none, just the state issued cobra tag.
So I won a Copart auction for an 01 cobra. I wanted it for drivetrain to power my Cannonball Widebody Fox. After winning the bid it was clear something was a miss. The car had ALL the cobra Powertrain seats and everything except the exterior. I really didn’t care much because I wanted the IRS...
Thanks guys, all great advice, yes I forgot to mention the flywheel, and replacing the pan/pickup. The tensioners I planned on doing while it was apart. So it’s a no on the cams I’m guessing..?? I appreciate all the input Thanks again
So what I am reading here is this.
I just picked up an 05 Aviator with the better DC heads. My cobra motor sounds noisy (haven’t torn it apart YET) The best bang for my buck is
Strip Aviator to a long block, swap timing cover, intake, oil pump, pan, Flywheel and I’m good to go??
What about...
I found a guy to do a Manley lower end in it and has done many. I know the 5.0 is the cats azz but again I have a complete donor car that I plan on using, that has longtubes and BBK Xpipe amongst other pricey ad ins. I appreciate all the input
So I looked into an aluminator and pretty much all the stuff I already have would turn into swapmeet parts. I’m not really looking at big power options as there has to be a certain amount of efficiency to make the run viable. One person mentioned a 5.4 swap, but I’m also trying to keep this...
