Yeah, I guess I was playing devil's advocate. I grew up without any advantages and we had to beg and borrow to get by. I'm living the good life as an adult but I'm driven to stack paper rather than spend it. If I spend a chunk I hate to see my number decrease; I want it to always be increasing.
Is that wrong, though? I save money, invest money, like a mofo. Then I drive down the street and see a Porsche or hear about my friend's most recent trip to Italy and I think I am doing it wrong. Does it ever catch up with them???? I don't think so because for as long as I can remember, people...
Growing up my best friend's family was into cars and hanging out there got me into them. They restored several including a 1965 Mustang coupe, 1965 Mustang convertible, and 1970 Chevy Nova. Those three cars are etched in my memory forever.
Bob, you nailed the look of each of them! I'm not a Vette guy but the C7 looks fabulous and is a better performer for fun factor. There is also a 2015 2LT manual for sale locally that is white; it has 22k miles and is priced at $45k. It has that inferno red interior though...not sure I'm down...
I've owned several Mustangs (see signature). I have wanted a Mach 1 for a long time and looked at one today being sold locally by a private seller. However, I also like the C7 Corvette. I know it is a matter of which one I like better as I am the potential buyer, but which would you choose...
Every dealer I have ever purchased a car from is emailing me with info about their new inventory. Even dealers where I have simply had my cars serviced (never made a purchase) email me. I have also received a few VM’s and texts. Then yesterday a Mazda dealer called me (WTF? Never owned one)...
If you want to go down a rabbit hole, watch the "Customer States" videos by Just Rolled In on Youtube. They are 3-4 minutes long and show all the nonsense. Here is the latest one (I don't have anything to do with this channel but I enjoy watching it):
I agree. Beam Hall is central to campus so it doesn't take long to get to it from anywhere on campus. This may be the reason the response was so quick.
Our building is closed through the end of the calendar year. The biohazard team has already finished its work cleaning up but I'm told there is...
We are a very large campus; 30k students and I'd say to walk from one end of campus to the other would take 30 minutes. It is vast.
Interesting question about cops arriving on the scene in such short order. This hasn't been made clear yet, but the first two on the scene (within 78 seconds)...
In all honesty though, the more I learn about this POS the angrier I get. He applied to a job in the marketing department and didn't get it, so he targeted marketing faculty. When he showed up at our building, he went to the 4th floor where the marketing department is and there were no faculty...
According to the news, when they raided his apartment there was an eviction notice on the door. In addition, he was driving a 16 year old car and reports claim he was having financial problems. You could be right!
Watching a press conference right now...two things:
1. Our sheriff is a no-nonsense, "**** around and find out" kind of dude. Love it!
2. LEO arrived within 78 seconds of the call coming in...just incredible. Amazing work.
This is interesting. I may look into this further. There are some things I just don't understand. As you know, UNLV is not in a good neighborhood, and we have homeless people take shelter from the summer heat in our building lobbies, etc. There are also randos roaming campus and I never...
Correct, not allowed on public school property (UNLV). I have often thought that doesn't matter and I could conceal and no one would know.
Yep, confirmed when I woke up this morning.
Identities of the deceased are not revealed yet but I know who they are. Two are very young and were not full...
He did shoot faculty, in their offices. It had to be targeted and not random. Wondering if he applied for a job and didn’t get it? Idk
I was impressed with how efficiently law enforcement ended it.

I work in Beam Hall at UNLV, where the shooting took place around noon. I don't intend to turn this into a 2A discussion, I just wanted to say that the LVMPD and Campus police exterminated the threat ASAP (unlike Uvalde). Our LEO's deserve a ton of credit today for their skilled elimination of...
Right. If you ask Vegas right now, they will tell you that its UGA/Bama/Michigan/OSU vs. the field, yet 3 of those teams aren't getting in. If you had to lay money on any of these 4 vs. Washington, FSU, etc. you would take the Dogs/Tide/Skunks/Bucks. The only team that is an outlier is Texas...
