I can't relate to the not centered comment but misaligned ,I understand. But that can be fixed by installer. They have a shine/chrome option so that's not a real big problem. They are definitely cheaper but that's because they are a smaller company and trying to take market share. Corsa extremes...
Remember, there hasn't been much success with a heavy GT500 with positive displacement Blower using a 6r80. Turbo guys and lighter coyote Blower guys have had some success but off idle 1k tq and 3800++lbs weights are killing these 6rs. Jason Wagoner went through all the billet LaSala stuff and...
Atleast you pulled your timing cover. Recommend that every couple years depending on how you use the car. If it's a dyno queen or cars and coffee cruiser with minimal miles, timing components probably go a long way
If you stay under 6700rpm, stock cams do really well. But the quickest and fastest 13/14s have cams and live over 7k rpms. Not all rods leave the block
You're still on the small 8mm chains though and even if you are on the 10mm chains, they are a wear item. They should be replaced at some point and huge cams on a street car with alot of miles needs to replace them every year or couple of years. The more you drive, the more wear on them.
JDM cams are too big for 80% of the cars out there. They got massive overlap and lift and really tax the timing components and make drivability funky, especially with a 6" throttle body. Thankfully he has Lund and can tune around them. My cams are extremely mild in comparison and don't thump...
Twin turbos, setup correctly, will be wildly fast! And the anti-lag and TC in the MOTEC will be perfect. Hard to beat properly setup turbo system on a long geared GT500. Plus he can make 1500+whp on a stock crank and generally have a safer engine combination. These big blowers are hard on...
