Sure, but if they want to attend an occasional track day they shouldn't have an issue after 15 minutes. I can track(have tracked) a 1995 Escort GT and not have issue in the first 15 minutes even when keeping it close to red line most the time.

For ECU its easiest to pick up an automatic 03-04 Mach1 ECU and get it retuned with SCT for the engine/mods. You may find more on this in the Terminator section as a few of them have done this swap.

I'm mixed. I love DHG to death, but over all the Bullitt to me feels like a GT with just some Ford Performance packages. The Mach1 was a NA terminator with a GT tranny.
