I just finished installation of the shifter, but suspect I made a mistake. When I removed the original shifter, I could not find a plastic cup that was referred to in the instructions. So I assumed my car didn't have one. There is a bit of slop in the shifter, so I suspect I may have lost...

My drivers side seat doesn't recline at all. The lever to the left is useless. There is no adjustment. The passenger's seat seems to work fine. Is this by design, or do I have a problem here?
