No, no pressure washer, just light spray and dressing, but I covered the coils/plugs with plastic film, then went over everything with a towel before allowing to dry. I never get any stutter or hesitation while driving, I just get codes. The only code I'm getting now after the last clear is...
My 45k mile SC'd Cobra just LOVES to throw codes at me...It happed all the time -_-
I've replaced a few things, but this car is stinking clean, and it's causing me to think these issues are tune related, though admittedly, the codes have been changing....I'll start with the beginning....
When...
IDK...a pipe is a pipe. I had their parts checked over by my exhaust shop. They do custom work for race cars all the time. They could have easily said the pipes were trash and sold me something else. They didn't. They said the work was fine, pipes were as advertised and that was that for me.
I...
Bought their cat delete pipes and H pipe from them over a year ago. everything showed up on time with no issues. Price was far less than others. To this day, zero issues. I get plenty of compliments on the sound.
Guess things have changed...
Can't read the names on my tag. The second name looks like it might start with a T for the first name and an S for the last name..Sn or Sh in fact, for the last name.
Looking at the list you have, I'm pretty sure the last name could be Dave Sneider. I see what could be a W in near the end of the...
On the Mystic Owner's Group Facebook Page there is a group of owners getting together to source the paint. They've made contact with someone at BASF who is able to get the original formula.
They are making "kits" that will give you everything you need for a full respray down to individual...
I'll look for one. The car came with a lot of documentation, including the supercharger install manuals but this chip was the only thing there wasn't any info on...
I'd like to just remove it but I have no idea what that would do.
For now I'm just going to have to take it easy with the car...
Anyone here have any info on the Diablo Flip Chips? Looking to know if there is any way to read them, understand what tunes are on it, etc.
I've been asking around on Diablo's own forum but so far, no luck....
Thanks all..
I'm really happy to have both for sure. I'm also in no hurry to do anything major. It's a really clean, solid car and I don't think it's in any imminent danger engine wise. I wont be driving it hard anyway.
I'll start with the small stuff (ordered about 200 bucks worth of parts...
It
The car does have the plates.
I used my old Predator from my '04 to read the codes and clear them. So far, strangely, the light came back on but the unit now says no codes.
The coolant light comes on here and there and then it goes away. The temp needle never goes above the O in NORM...
Agreed, I won't even get into boost with this car until I know a little more about the tuning and all, and a built bottom end isn't out of the question for me either, I'm just not in any hurry to do it, lol.
Very good point, I know E85 is all the rage these days, lol...
I know its old tech, but tinkering with this one will probably keep my urge to mess with the virtually stock terminator, lol.
I'm definitely going to look into a more modern tuning solution....
Thanks for the feedback, DSG. The car came with a dyno sheet in the packet of paperwork, looks like it puts down about 475 at the wheels. I'll be looking to keep the tune conservative, as I'm not trying to make this thing be anything other than what it is and remain as a toy for me. In fact...
Greetings all, I recently came across a really nice example of a well modified Cobra that I had to snap up. The car has 43k original miles and comes with an entire laundry list of options:
Exhaust:
Bassani SS Optimum length headers
SS X pipe with high-flow cats
SS catback with Bassani mufflers...
Just wanted to pop in and thank Glenn for the awesome job on my Mystichrome convertible. The model came out AMAZING! I can't even begin to imagine anything better coming from this to be honest....The entire experience, from speaking to Glenn about what I wanted to the actual processing time has...
Not today, but a little update. Just added new wheels and the MC leather knob and boot...put 3k miles on her since picking her up in December '17.

Right...and likely educated enough to know the coolers can be added, which was my original point.
That said, there are STILL a LOT of people out there who don't and even more who wouldn't care because the likelyhood of them taking their car on to a track where LM would occur is rather low...
HB? What is the website link? I'd like to follow this myself...
I live in a warm climate also, never hit LM once. I've auto crossed in the middle of summer many times. Temps here reach the mid 90s with 30%+ humidity all the time.
Took it through a canyon in Colorado a couple years ago, about...
