Haha, well I eventually bought an Anchor mount from Rock Auto for $35 and so far so good. Transformed the car, no more brutal vibration. The stock mount had Ford stamped so it must have been the original after 103k miles.

Yeah I was looking at aftermarket radios to get bluetooth and all that, if I was going to keep it. The technology in the new car is amazing, but you do lose the rawness and connectedness of the Terminator.
