I’m looking at some property in Westford. I’ve passed this at least 20 times and laugh every single time. The town and this guy have a long history, mostly bad.
Well, here is my experience from Vermont. Very similar experience but I was the neighbor whose property the animal was killed on. Sucked bad because I like my neighbor who owned the dog. Unfortunately, I had to testify the dog was on my property. The dogs owner had to pay vet bills, pet...
Don’t bother trying to speak rationally about a GM product with OnDelusional. If a spectator with a stopwatch timed the 350R or FGT to a slower time, he’d in order:
1)Say the guy is a moron
2)Then state the man is actually blind.
3)The watch wasn’t operated correctly.
4)The watch maker is crap...
Jim is an accomplished driver. Not sure why anyone would be shocked by this. Most test drivers are.
That said, there is always someone faster. Jim will tell you himself that, if given a couple days, the corvette factory drivers are faster. On a track like the Ring, make that a week or two...
This is on point. The GT is somewhat similar in concept as the LFA, just better executed. Ford did the heavy lifting and contracted out the production. I’m sure they looked at how much money Toyota lost (think carbon fiber loom) on the LFA and decided to pass on in house production. No way Ford...
I’ll give you credit for one thing, you really embrace your hate for GM.
I’m surprised by the reaction of some on
here. The ZR1 was out for the ACR-E not the GT. Different missions, both ridiculously fast, both awesome. I guess since the Viper is gone, the Corvette guys couldn’t help but poke...
You are vastly oversimplifying the engineering needed to make a car go fast. The ACR is very impressive in terms of cost and engineering. If 7min is so easy, why is it so rare?
As for magical engineering to make a car go fast 5+ laps, production (road legal) car companies hardly ever go down...
Why exactly would I tell you what data I've seen? What's the benefit? So you can go say GM is fudging numbers and I put someone's job at risk? Right......
The new Vette has the ACR covered on many tracks. The only question is whether they can keep the exhaust quiet enough to run those courses...
The car is in near production form and won't lose much, if any, time. You are the one who wanted to point out the C6ZR1 as "direct" competition to the ACR. When the ZR1 ran its time, was the ACR out?
Your hate is strong and your logic is lolz.
The C7Z06 has independently run a 7:13. I'm not talking the C6ZR1. The upcoming winged Vette is under the 7min mark (so I've been told ;) ).
As for the repaved track, conditions are always changing. If you foolishly live by the Ring marketing, you're going to get burned by it too. Way too many...
I have a love/hate relationship with my 17' Tacoma TRD Sport. I love the 6spd manual, the ride is decent, the space isn't bad, and I get a consistent 26mpg around town and 28-31mpg on the highway (with the cap). I hate the squeaky suspension, squeaky clutch pedal, and the V6 with no power below...
