Drag race at a track, correct I do not do that...
Although I would say 11,400 or so of those miles have been full throttle rowing through the gears like an olympian in Japan though... so might have needed it :D
Hey guys,
I have owned an '07 GT500 since new (Nov 2006) and only drive it 800 or so miles a year, been 100% stock engine and no mods for its entire life. I have done oil changes every year and wanted to get all fluids flushed so I went to Ford and had them do everything I can think of such...
Sorry but the car is shat... trans is shat... and performance is shat. My Sport was better and now my X3 M40i is light years better. Couldn't be happier with the switch.
It has speed potential at least... if I can hit 12.3 and going for 11.9 in Spring with my Tune Only X3 and B58 motor, I am sure the 1,000 less pound Supra can hit very low 11's with a tune.
SRT8 Jeep and Durango I would beat both easily. Audi SQ5 is a second behind. Unless it's a Macan Turbo or Cheyenne Turbo all other models are going to be in my rears... but for the $$ I would expect them to be.
BMW is better 100% in every single aspect except auto start through the remote...
You take your SUV to the drag strip!
I had a chance to take my X3 M40i to the track with the MP Stage 2 tune installed to see what I can do.
Specs.
MP Stage 2 Tune
96 Octane (E30)
4475 race weight
THAT'S IT... no modifications anywhere else - stock intake, stock exhaust, stock wheel, stock...
My old 850R (mid 2000's) had 340 fwhp and 388 fwtq... that was a stupid quick car from a roll. 20G / Built Block / Built Trans, took down A LOT OF CARS
Correct, I am now trying Unleashed at this point in time.
I was able to run my stock set up with the 93 octane and was able to pull off a 13.22 (fastest tune only Edge with 93 octane)
http://www.dragtimes.com/Ford-Edge-Timeslip-29542.html
I then was running the E30 tune with a CXRacing...
LMS 93 tune with a K&N panel filter That is all I had, other then that, stock exhaust, stock intake, stock intercooler.
It does provide a very good sleeper status. 37k miles and 0 issues thus far with trans/engine. Over 100 0-100 runs and still going strong!
Hey guys,
I have a 2007 GT500 with around 11K miles with stock tires still on the car since 2007. While the tires have seen rain 4 times and have always been in a garage at night, I know tires shouldn't be run on the street after a certain amount of time for the safety of myself and others, so...
MRT exhaust is good for a muffler replacement, sound is decent but I wouldn't expect any HP gains. The lower temp thermostat is good if you want to run a race tune but I didn't fine the cost/benefit ratio to be favorable.
I have been running multiple tuners (LMS/Unleashed/SSI) in my car and...
Was able to head to the track this weekend with a fellow Edge owner and see if we can break our old records of 13.4xx.
Conditions were pretty good, -500 to -1300 DA as the night went on.
One of the most frustrating things I have with this car is the inability to cut anything less than...
Hey guys,
Had an opportunity to take my Edge Sport to the track this weekend. Had 2 runs but will head back in May for some better times -
2015 Edge Sport (CAR 8909)
10,xxx miles
LMS 93 Octane Tune
K&N Filter
Otherwise 100% stock car.
13.478 @ 100.96 was my best time.
I have had the 93 LMS tune for a while and have done a couple tests including adding a K&N filter (which made the car around .1 seconds faster for just a panel filter), and recently I had the opportunity to test out the 91 aggressive tune plus firmer shifting tune from LMS
"The transmission...
Hey guys,
So based on the previous topic of VBOX tests I have done -
http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/19015-vbox-tested-0-60-vs-rpm-launch/
http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/18909-vbox-tested-drive-vs-sport-0-60/
I really wanted to get a test done to understand how much you can gain from...
Hey guys,
So now that my car is broken in a bit more I am starting to perform some testing to see how my 0-60 changes with different driving methods. Today's test is a stock test measuring 0-60 between Drive and Sport mode in the transmission.
I did something similar with my GLi...
