Thanks for the suggestions guys. Checked alternator and battery condition and both check out OK. Will check the crank position sensor_/ wire connection. Thx again.

Thanks for the info guys.
Went out to start the car again this morning and it started with either key on the first try, no problem, as it always has. Not sure why there is/was an intermittent problem needles to say I'm flustered. Maybe there is a loose ground/connection somewhere though not...
I've spent the last hour doing a search on problems with the PATS system and I'm none the wiser as I could not find any threads with the same issue I have. Hopefully someone can shine a light on whats going on with my car.
I went to start the car today and as I turned the key the "Theft" light...
How timely that you should post this. I have exactly the same problem to a T. Haven't gotten around to fixing it yet but I bought the low side port from Rock Auto and also a new low pressure hard line just in case the port is hard to unscrew or something breaks during the removal. If nothing...
Ok thanks. Did a bit of poking around and found out that there is a reservoir tank bolted to the heater box. Maybe it's leaking, will have to take it out and look for any cracks and if it's leaking air will replace it. Luckily NPD has a replacement.
NPD also has A/C damper door switch...
Hey guys. As the title states I hear a thud/thump under the dash when I initially turn on the A/C. The A/C works fine blows cold. Has anyone ever experienced such a problem? Any ideas what it could be?
Thx.
Yes I did on my own. I knew the T45 wasn't the slickest shifting transmission in the world but by the same token it shouldn't be as notchy as mine was especially after putting in a MGW shifter. Everything I read about the MGW was all positive so it got me thinking that maybe something else was...
Just wanted to update this.
Bought a new nylon insert that the end of the shifter fits into in the transmission and it made a huge difference. The old one was worn somewhat and it caused some slop in the movement of the shifter. Much improved shifting, dare I say almost smooth T45. The shifts...
Thanks for the reply guys. I guess I will have to just get used to it. I like the fact that the throws are shorter and more precise than with my previous aftermarket shifter.
I've had an aftermarket shifter on my car for years now and I've always found it to be notchy when shifting gears so after doing a lot of reading I've decided to get a MGW shifter ...with the comfort handle....since everybody raved about it how great it is.
After installation the throws are...

Maybe not the best picture I could find but you can see that large flat locking nut surrounding the 19MMnut inside of it. If you get under your car and look at the steering rack you can't miss it.
Not sure how much play you got but before replacing the steering rack try to adjust it. There is a large flat locking nut on the rack that you can loosen and with a 19 MM socket you can tighten the rack. I've done this on mine and it seemed to help though I didn't have bunch of play in mine...
That's unfortunate that the site went by the wayside, I met a few European Mustang owners on there that I became friends with and even visited them when I went to Europe.
Nice find. Looks just like mine minus the black Saleens. I remember you from Mighty Mustangs.net, I also was a member there whatever happened to that site?
What is wrong with the engine?
Mine is a '96 Cobra bought in the summer of '97 and at that time it had around 4,100KM and still two years of warranty left. Right now it has just over 52,000 KM I try to drive it as much as I can in the summer but in the last few years life got in the way and haven't had the chance to drive it...
Not trying to absolve Ford of anything but it looks like the brake pedal issue is not their fault. Now I know what some of you are thinking that Ford should do a quality control on all parts being supplied to them and I'm sure they did at the outset but the supplier changed the part during the...
You need to take measurments of the diameter of the intake pipe on your present CAI to see which one would fit and also the length, flange and width of your present filter to get the one that would fit your application. Then look at the list of available filters in that link to find the one that...
Not sure about how many miles between cleaning. It would depend on the conditions driven in. I'd suggest just do an inspection of the filter periodically to see how dirty it is.
