That's normal for the level of cooling this blower has.
It's nowhere near industry leading though. Industry leading is running around at 8-12deg over ambient, only picking up 15-20deg over a 12sec WOT run and immediate recovery back to 8-12 over ambient.
I apologize. I mis-read your previous post.
As far as the "tough guy" comment goes. I have a rule, I won't say anything online that I wouldn't say to someones face. Even if you're one tough SOB, there is always someone tougher.
Enjoy your weekend.
Just because a lot of people buy the standard GT500 doesn't mean it's still not a very focused road course car.
Most people that buy Porsche 911 GT3RS's will never take them to the track. It doesn't change that it is a track focused car or that because it's a track focused car it has...
I'd buy the Hellcat for that. A big factor being how strung out the Hellcat motor is compared to the GT500 (it's not) and that the Hellcat has a more durable trans for drag strip stuff. Stock to stock they're both going to be durable. But if pulleys/tunes/e85 etc start getting thrown at the both...
I don't see how the choice comes down to a GT500 and Hellcat. They're not even the same kind of car. One is a track focused weapon that can only be exploited at all on the track with the street shortcomings. The other is a street bruiser that does it's job fantastically well. Both are quite...
Gingerman is pretty fun. It's "easy" and the consequences aren't too high. You don't get going very fast there. Hard to pass there though. Not a big deal at a track day, but when racing pretty much every pass is ballsy.
Grattan is slightly closer to me. And IMO a whole lot more fun. It's...
Car stuff? Just the "local" tracks. I'm not driving further than that:
-Grattan
-Gingerman
-Autobahn
-Mid O
-Nelsons
-Putnum Park
When I was racing Superbike I ran all the tracks in the US, some in Europe and a few in Asia.
Because my main motivation is going to the road race course I would gladly get a GT350R with a DCT opposed to a GT500. God knows my tire bill would be lower!
Because it's not nearly as cool as complaining about not having a third pedal. When it comes to cool, everyone knows that there isn't anything cooler than complaining about the lack of manual trans options.:D
Because I will be pushing it so hard at the track it's only a matter of time before it ends up in a gravel trap. I don't want to wreck the carbon wheels.
If I could have gotten the track pack without the carbon wheels I would have. I think they're a silly expense.
I always find it amusing that people think they are entitled to "proof". Or that the person they're asking for it from cares even a little if someone else believes them.
And what are the chances that at the end of that selling season there will be dealers littered with units they can't unload?
Frankly, almost no one, if not no one posting here has the requisite skills to pilot one of these around a road course at 90% or above.....if they had 500hp. All this big...
