The hardest thing you could do is start your own shop. The risk is high, but if it works out the reward will be high as well.
If you don't want to do that go work for @13COBRA. I'm sure he'll match UPS's $45 per hour.
So true. I used to work with a guy that was on an aircraft carrier. He said after about two weeks of looking around and only seeing water in every direction it got old. haha
We have four or five diesel powered backup generators at my site and they get tested on a routine basis. I always know when I drive past them on my golf cart because it's loud as shit.
I don't know anything about boats like that, but they don't have emergency generators on them that could keep the boat at least functional in an emergency like this?
I'm just using the 401k and will supplement with my wife's teacher retirement. My 401k seems to be doing okay, but the company I work for is selling the site that I'm at so my elections will change with the new company. Reading the post in the stock pick thread makes me think I should just give...
An ex co-worker retired from plant life and opened this place. Not sure how close it is, if you want to try a new place.

The English thought we were terrorist once.
I'm a Mc on both sides.
I'm a McGuigan
My mom was a McCain
My grandmother was a McGhee
I told my wife that she messed it up. I went big booty latina instead of Mc.
I'm getting three bonuses pretty close together from work over the next month or so. My wife has it spent on major projects like redoing the pool and stuff, but I'm thinking rental property. If we both thought like she does we'd be bankrupt.
If I was single with no kids I'd be wealthy.
There have been some people that I share a last name with involved with the IRA and also one that died on bloody Sunday. I've been pro **** the English for a while.
When my kids were in private school I convinced the music teacher to play The Rocky Road To Dublin for the kids which was a big hit.
I'm still on turnaround. I was off Friday and Saturday so we can start fresh on Sunday for start up coverage.
I used my Saturday off to engrave 100 brushes for a local company. I had to make a jig to hold them so I could easily repeat the engraves. The post engrave picture is before cleaning.
@13COBRA
My parents rented a couple of vans from a local Ford dealer to use on vacation. Is it normal for the dealers to rent cars out like that? I'd never heard of it.
They told my step-dad that they had a bunch of them rented out.
