You hook the outputs from the relays to the pumps.
The easy way is using a 12vdc key on source to trigger the relays. I think the black/yellow wire used for that usually. Run battery power straight to the relay input and hook the pumps to the relay output.
What pumps are you going to be running?
Easy Off oven cleaner should do it. I had diff fluid on mine and it got it right off and didn't damage the polish.
I use metal polish on mine when I think about it when I'm under the car. I'm not on a strict schedule for it. It stays pretty clean for the most part. Even with days like to today...
I think best is subjective when it comes to K members. I like my Maximum Motorsports even with having to deal with the oil filter relocation. The BMR piece is ok. Though I only have experience with the premium version.
I was one of the randoms that never ran an upgraded FPDM. There weren't any available when I was looking. I never had issues so I never bothered to upgrade. The newer pumps might pull more and need it no matter what.
Yeah. I cleared 600 on old school GT pumps. But that was a centri. My friend ran the same pumps on his 2.3 Whipple at 590ish for a few years with no issues.
The problem with the other cats is Bassani uses a weird size. I picked up some stainless pipes to get rid of my cats and the slip joint on the pipes are a touch bigger then the Bassani pipes. I put some orange RTV inside and ran the clamps down with an impact. Everything seems ok. But YMMV...
You might want to see if your tuner will even mess with that.
Honestly, you'd be better off upgrading to a newer device. The last time I tried to use an Xcal2 it bricked itself.
I ran Stingers without cats for a while in my 01. As you've noticed it was too much. So I always ran cats with them. A few months ago I switched to a real muffler and a couple weeks ago I deleted the cats. It's fairly tame now, but still has the bark at WOT. I can cruise at 80 and talk to my...
If you hear the pumps and can smell gas when cranking I'd say your pumps are working correctly. Or at least correctly enough to fire the engine. Pull the plugs and see if they're wet.
I'm sure you'll need a tune at least to run that pulley. Maybe a MAF depending on how much room you have. I'd replace the fuel pump just to be safe. Things wear out.
I've ran into the older generation that don't want to teach out of fear of losing their jobs. I never understood that. I've always been willing to pass on my knowledge. I knew I'd move on one day and didn't want to leave a hole. And if the younger people know what I know, I don't have to work...
