Why Does My 2019 GT Need 10 Quarts of Dino?

Yawnald’s on point. Direct injection contributes to quicker dilution of the oil via more fuel entering the crank case. Couple that with the long change intervals and you need a lot of oil to mitigate dilution. Even my gen 1 ecoboost 3.5 took nearly 8 quarts.

    WTB 11-12 Gt500 budget of 33k

I have a 700+ RWHP 2010 with 13k miles on it. I’m asking slightly more then your $33k budget, but if you’re seriously interested we can talk. I sent you a message on FB messenger

PMAS DD149 and Fosters Supercharger Mod

I would venture to say that it has to be installed BEFORE the MAF sensor itself. The air that is being rerouted, while not much, would already be accounted for by the ecu if it passes the MAF sensor before being routed into that tube thing. I don’t think it would cause major issues, but it...

PMAS DD149 and Fosters Supercharger Mod

You seriously want to spend $145 to make the blower louder inside the car? I guess if that’s your thing, have at it, but I would not recommend drilling anywhere into the PMAS. It’s designed with a bell mouth for a reason and adding any kind of obstruction of velocity disruption would be...

Forscan is not complicated at all, it’s actually quite easy and the software is actually free. The only things you need is an OBD II plug with USB or Bluetooth and a laptop with windows. Other then that, a couple minutes of googling and you’ll find the software as well as a plethora of proven...

Any suggestions for a smoother daily driver?

Yeah me too. I went from a loaded 13’ FX4 SCREW with an eco boost to an 18’ XLT Sport SE SCREW with a 5.0 and I couldn’t be happier. I enjoy the truck so much I kind of don’t feel like bothering with the Shelby half the time.

That’s what I did, but now my GT500 that I’ve owned for 9 years now only has 13k miles on it... LOL I’m trying to drive the thing more...

Any suggestions for a smoother daily driver?

I have those springs with D-specs. I think Bilstiens are in my future. I just can’t justify the cost of air ride for a car I drive a dozen times a year.

Help me spend my money wisely take my car to the next level

That’s pretty similar to my old set up other then the BPS elbow which I bought when I bought the blower. Maybe it was just a bad night for boost, that happens. I’d cram some more boost into that thing with a 15% lower and send it. At that compression ratio, it should respond very nicely...

Fair enough, none of my business, I was just saying I know he can be misunderstood some times. Either way, not my fight. My TVS really didn’t have a heat problem before porting and has even less of one now. I’m actually surprised that your having heat soak problems with the speed your...

Help me spend my money wisely take my car to the next level

The larger tank won’t necessarily “lower” your IAT2’s below your current average operating temp, but it will allow you to maintain low temperatures longer. If you think of the coolant / water as basically a heat absorber it may make more sense as to why a larger supply of water would make the...

Help me spend my money wisely take my car to the next level

I think in my experience, a better alternative to the killer chiller would be a bigger coolant tank in the trunk and addition of ice. Even without ice in the tank, the higher volume of the coolant would have a more efficient level of heat absorption and would take far longer to heat soak. That...

Help me spend my money wisely take my car to the next level

I had a similar system as the killer chiller, a prototype developed by True Forged, on my 03’ Cobra which had a Whipple on it. The system worked ok, but it over worked the ac system and caused the interior temps while the ac was on to be impacted quite a bit. The impact to the ac systems...

Oh that makes a little more sense. At that compression ratio, cram more air into it for sure.

While agree with those that say you should already be over 700, I’d suggest sending the blower and lower to 1320 Junkie Performance for porting and reap double rewards. Cooler charge temps and more power with less restriction. I said this before and I’ll say it again, I think your fuel...

Any suggestions for a smoother daily driver?

I’ve been considering air ride. When I first did the suspension in my car (going on 8 years ago now) I had a very different agenda. Now I want to be able to enjoy driving the car more often, but I also love the stance it has right now. I think the best compromise would be air, but the cost is...

You can use forscan to get low level, non-crossed over signals from the factory (or sync) head unit fairly easily; making a line out converter unnecessary and making your output signals perfect for amplification. That’s what I did in my F150 with Sync 3; it was very easy, provides a clear...

    Best Long Tube Headers - 2011 GT500

I have Kooks on mine and I love them. They’re kind of cross between long and mid length so if you’re car sits low there is no worry of them scraping or hit anything. The collector it’s up higher in the chassis and the mid pipe connects with ball and socket rather then a collector gasket.

    Aftermarket Warranties? Yay or Nay?

Luckily for us, there haven’t been any major issues with GT500’s that have been inherent through the models or consistent with the drivetrains. That being said, if you’re seriously worried about it and can afford it, take the $2000- $3000 you would spend on the warranty and set it aside, adding...

Vinyl Stripes - Cost to Replace?

The factory stripes (at least in 2010) were painted vinyl not died vinyl or manufactured in a specific color. So when you peel the stripe up it’s going to flake the color off and it’s going to make getting the residue off a PIA. That’s probably why they want so much to get them off. Honestly...

What should a new 2019 GT automatic cost?
