What are the differences between the 2011-12 5.4 aluminum block and the 2013-14 5.8 aluminum block besides the obvious displacement difference?
Does the 2011-12 have traditional cylinder liners?
I am considering a FRPP short block with JDM cams and a KB 4.2 on E85.
I would love a 5.8 Aluminum custom built short block but money is an object.
I want like to make 1000rwhp.
Is this just too much for the FRPP short block?
What are your thoughts?

I thought I would share my current project with everyone.
I have been stockpiling parts for a suspension install for awhile and finally got around this winter to getting the install done.

Anyone know how to get these colored lines off new tires?
The car is in a big indoor show in two weeks (Autorama) and I will not be able to drive the car before then to wear the lines off. I have tried everything in my arsenal and they wont come off!
My SPP alternator came in yesterday thought you might like to see it
I thought it was interesting that it comes with a 2 3/4" pulley when the stocker is 2 1/2". Which is nice to slow down the alternator for less drag and easier on it at higher revs.

Not looking to start controversy here just wondered if anyone has tried the L&M 78mm Throttle Body on a KB.
Its supposed to be a direct bolt on replacement for the KB twin 75mm.

I will be taking the GT500 to a track rental at Norwalk Raceway Park on Sept 30th.
While I have drag raced before, I have not raced with this car yet.
I am looking for some pointers on launch RPM, shift points, and rear tire psi (Nt05R 315/35/20), and anything else to accelerate my learning...
Just wondered if anyone has tried these and If they are worth getting. I know the factory ignition is quite capable but at what HP level (700+?) are upgrades beneficial? Thanks.
