I just noticed a low speed growl or rubbing type noise, more evident upon turning, goes away when clutch is in? I was thinking differential clutches or maybe clutch disc? Its up on the rack now and everything checks out fine.
Anybody else familiar or had this problem??? thanks
Installed my new catback 2 days ago, went with the Steeda to remain reasonably quiet with the ragtop. It is louder than anticipated (i love it), but has no drone, just the reason i bought it. My neighbors are probably glad i dont have MRT with Stingers....
I will be installing the new from ford, irs differential tomorrow. I don't know about the oe unit, but this unit has been balanced supposedly for the vibration problem. (pic below) The backlash was at .013 which has been set back to .0085 (.008-.012 specs). I'll let you know the results. TC...
Did all of you get this book in the mail from ford?? I bought my car the end of Jan 05, got my svt paperwork last month then got this $ 50.00 book yesterday? Pretty cool i thought.
Did you watch the hearings on the steroid issue in MLB, why was Mark even there? He's afraid to admit he's not the ball player we all thought he was, and it's probably hard to tell his son that he had a "little help" in breaking historical records. Sounded to me like he will tell people not to...
What is the best way to replace the center section, just remove the diff (from underneath) or drop the irs subframe assy and pull the irs out the top??? If you could tell me why also, thanks! I have a brand new center section and will install my BF bracket before i install it. TC
Installed my spacers which look so much better. Had to cut the Eibach rear springs to get correct ride height. I'll try to attach some pics here.

Every tire dressing i try ends up as small black speck's all down the side of the car. It wipes/washes off easy enough but ruins a good wash job shortly.
I like a dark almost wet look, any good products out there? TC
Is this a good price? I want the borla (muffler) kit but it is expensive, does your magna kit have any drone with convertible?? Thanks
Ideally looking for something only slightly louder than stock, FR500 or Borla kit (not stinger) were my favorites but the mag price is low.
I still have the F1's in the back, which i will be replacing with DR's. The question is with either tire is it possible to get a tire warming burnout without wheel hopping? I know the F1's dont need water but our track will not allow any DR's to back into the water which might help reduce...
I want to wake up my exhaust note, but i do not want any drone! Is the stinger system loud at highway driving speeds? I was thinking the 14858 system with the mufflers. Any comments appreciated, remember i want it slightly louder than stock, and i would guess the convertible will be louder than...
Thanks to all of you for the referral to billetflow products. After watching a pulley removal/reinstall go terribly difficult i was reluctant to try it myself.
I got the 2.93 billetflow with billetflow puller/installer, and 10 minutes later i was laughing at how easy it was(by myself)! Saving...
Along with a CAI, 2.93 pulley, and programmer should i change to one colder plug as i've heard people do? Denso, NGK or Motorcraft, whats the best choice for my daily driver?
I will be purchasing a SFPHQ 2.93 pulley and hub kit and am wondering who sells the best puller for the price. SFPHQ's seems high?? Do all kits include an install tool also? Anybody out there want to rent me one? Will i ever use the puller after installing the "hub" adapter?
Sorry for all...
I am wondering if the MM strut brace i just installed will clear a JLT true cold air kit? The brace sits about 1/32" (tight!) from the factory inlet tube. I would rather have the filter in the fender if possible.
I would like to install a smaller pulley, programmer (of course) and CAI. I want to keep the car totally driveable for highway use(also). JLT CAI is my favorite, i'm thinking 2.93, 3.0 or 3.1 on pulleys. Is excess heat a problem at these levels of boost increase? Thanks
