TORQUE alone keeps me in my 13'... creature comforts make it a whole lot nice too. Get what makes you happy though, everyone will say one thing or another but at the end of the day you are the driver and the funder.
@50stangpower On the 18x10.5 race stars I just removed for these it was a scary close fit too, couldn’t put more than 4 business cards between wheel and caliper. I’m hoping with the 6.5 backspace it actually pushes it out just a little. I like how the rear wheel on your car sits and tire is out...
To the top, proper wheel specs put in first post 17x9.5 6.5b/s 32mm offset will post pics as long as they fit. Will be running 305/45/17 MT super street s/s
One thing some seem to leave out is ditching the under hood coolant res. and going to a trunk mounted unit that will hold ALOT more fluid for the heat exchanger to work with. I used PNR and have their 7 gal spare tire well tank and am just on stock exhanger with 170* T stat and can log...
@Catmonkey For reference they’re coming from a 2015-2017 s550 car. The picture sent shows them mounted on the rear of an s550 at the gas station. I’m thinking he’s confused about the specs and these are the 8.0 b/s and 61mm offset I keep seeing on every vendors site for the s550 rear wheels.
just picked up a set of weld rts s77 finally but just noticed in ad it says 17x9.5 with 6.5 backspace 32mm offset... I think our cars call for 7.0 b/s and 42mm. Anyone running this set up with pics available or know if it will clear okay
Are you saying front or rears won't work with 13-14 brakes? i know rear require rotor size reduction and sway bar relocation but would front work with spacers possibly?
Im on the stock 3.31 Just to stay with the Z06’s and Vipers down here on the highways. The 30 sidewall makes the gears way too short, was having to roll from 3rd at 60+ mph. I just got rid of the wheels actually due to the limited options for the 18” size and am going to downsize to 17x10. I...
I agree with that totally, in a given situation where you can do a burn out I think they all kind of start performing the same but my experience with the mickeys is that even after a short 10 min drive they just grab and go at 20psi, they do however only grant about 3-4K miles of driving at that...
These BFG's are terrible... I've tried anywhere from 17-25psi and at 55mph its just spinning all the way into 3rd gear. I had the 305/35/20 mickeys and they dead hooked at 50+ mph in 2nd at 25psi.
Picked up a set of polished pro stars 18x7.5 front and 18x10.5 rears and they came with BFG 295/35/18 drag radials and these things on top of looking very small and out of place just do not get traction like the 305/35/20 (28.7" tall) mickeys they are replacing. I'm torn at this point between...
