Thanks guys for the tips on the tools and video. Taking off the gas cap is enough to relieve the pressure in the lines, or is there another area where to relieve the pressure?

What tool do you guys recommend to disconnect the fuel lines?

The fuel rail valve?

What is all needed to relieve the pressure off the fuel lines? Other than taking the gas cap off and relieving the rest of the pressure from the fuel rail valve?

I appreciate the advice and video on that. That nut on the fender well came in handy. surprisingly, trying to find a video on the 4.6l 32v dohc valve cover gasket removal is a pain the ass.

I'm ripping into my valve cover gaskets and replacing them. Any tips or things to watch out for? By the way, the ****ing top cowl cover broke on me while i was taking it off. Where are you getting for a replacement, since they're not available anymore?

do you occasionally wait til your gas tank is really low til you fill up again? if you do it could be your fuel pump that needs replacing.

i'm having the exact same issue at the moment. valve cover gasket. otherwise, it could be your oil cooler that grenaded. the bottom of my motor looked exactly like your pictures when my oil cooler let go. if you manage to take off your oil filter check and see if there's antifreeze leaking...

i have a 98 cobra and looking for a discontinued hose that i'm having trouble finding. my hose in question (motorcraft # F7ZE-8C351-AB) runs from the bottom of the degas bottle to the very top of the thermostat housing. i found a possible hose that looks to be for the terminators...
