ExpressJet has been running an employee film series for a few months now and the theme for this month was "Why I chose aviation". Thought I'd...
Plane is an ERJ-145 XR. We departed Huntsville, AL to the west through a gap between lines of storms rolling through. The line of storms was nearly solid all the way to Houston. Made for a nice light show off the left side!
Shot with my Sony NEX 5N @ 6400 ISO, 1/3 sec shutter and f3.5.
One is an SSC version and the other is a Superclocked. Recently upgraded to the GTX 580. These are great cards to run in SLI and still run most every game maxed out.
Asking $130 each.

That's about all I came up with in a basic background check using Intellus.
I know we have some pretty good investigators on SVTP that are able to...
Can watch the streaming live video here VFAT TV or Virtual Festival of Aerobatic Teams - live streaming video powered by Livestream
I tried out earlier this year and was selected to fly the right wing #3 for the Virtual Thunderbirds, it's the most challenging thing I've ever done, learning to...
Thought I'd post these up, some really outstanding footage and video about the Horsemen formation demo team.
They're the videos in the "Featured Videos" box there in the center - "Jimmy Takes the Lead, #2 Becomes a Horsemen" all the way down to "The Horsemen Cometh", they're all very well...
Purchased from NewEgg on 7/5/09. Installed on 7/9. Ran it in SLI with my GTX 280 SSC.
It performed well with my 280 SSC at SSC clocks. It idles at ~39*-42*C and seemed to stabilize around 67*C playing Crysis at 100% fan speed.
It came with Call of Duty: World at War, so I'll include that...
Saw this on Jetcareers.com figured I'd post it here. Pretty impressive.
"Two pilots safely land an experimental plane on the roadway after the engine quits. Co-pilot is a professional cameraman who fitted the wing strut and interior with cameras, for what was supposed to be an uneventful...

Rented the Tiger from the flight school and flew to Apalachicola, ate lunch in town then headed back.
I made use of my newly aquired instrument rating to file IFR down and back - first solo flight in "the system". It was VFR conditions all...

Great interview - I like ol' Skiles.
I liked the part where he explained that the way you land in calm water is really no different than landing on a runway. Seems that the media and the general population still thinks that there's some...
Was using AOPA's new flight planner to plan my flight for my checkride and decided to browse around the site a bit - came across this, thought it was a great read.

Supposed to be set to factory timing, is there any gain to be had from evening them out?
Right - 109 Intake -117 Exhaust @ 113

Got an e-mail saying a copyright owner had claimed their content in the videos.
Seems that they are really cracking down on taking down videos with music in them unless you've got consent to use the music. This is really going to reduce the number of YouTube videos and the creativity...
Cliffs notes:
Crankshaft snout broke off. All the valves made contact with the pistons. It's a total rebuild (save the block, rods and heads), getting -11cc pistons this time around though, so it should make a little more power. I hope to have it back in a month or so. Injected Engineering is...
Found this on YouTube a while back, always thought it was really good stuff. He's flying a Vans RV-4 http://www.vansaircraft.com/public/rv-4int.htm very fun to fly kit-plane, it's quite a performer (200+ MPH, 6 G's, 2400 FPM climb rate), especially for the price ($40-70k)
Music doesn't...
Finally got around to getting some footage of the Mach and its new look - also conducted a few street dyno test pulls against Lankhoss' C6 Z06 (501 RWHP).
