Glad to hear we have someone on here doing a lot of these. Once you do the first it one I can totally see how much easier it is do to the second and so on.

Coyote Swapping an 88 Notchback Foxbody - Build Journey

This depends on what your goals are for the cluster. Some people (like myself) like to keep the OEM cluster while others put in entirely new clusters. In my build thread I'll add details on what I did to get the oem cluster to work with the Gen 3.

Gen 3 Coyote Swapped 93 Cobra

Check out my signature on the initial post :). I've left those alone, but have had the itch to tinker (after all, who doesn't like modding cars and spending money). Hoping now that the car season is fully underway I'll get some time to lay out the build experiences and more details of the...

Gen 3 Coyote Swapped 93 Cobra

If I go power adder someday it’ll be a whipple or similar, but the Gen 3 power in a 93 is enough for all kinds of fun. Agree on the modding of a 93 Cobra. This is the least special car in my stable and I needed a car to tinker with and don’t feel bad about doing so. Plus the car can go back to...

Gen 3 Coyote Swapped 93 Cobra

Now that’s the spirit. Haha! It’s crosses my mind on a weekly basis when driving my Roush truck, which has a Gen 3 + SC. I’m sure this will be more than enough for the track and cruising as is given it’s low weight. One big thing preventing me from going down the power adder route initially was...

Gen 3 Coyote Swapped 93 Cobra

Though it’s mainly built for HPDE, I’m planning to run it at the NMRA event in Rockingham this weekend. We will see if I can shake off the cob webs as it’s been ages since my last event.

What did you do for your Terminator today?

After nearly 15yrs of running Kevin’s original TF wheels I finally changed up the look by throwing on the 18” replicas. Much easier to clean! Will get some pics out in the sun so it actually looks CO…

I plan on being there a few days, but likely without any of the cars - tagging along with a buddy bringing his Fathouse GT500.

Gen 3 Coyote Swapped 93 Cobra

I know!! Trying hard to drive it everywhere I go. I passed 800 miles on the build this past weekend after taking a nice cruise to a mustang gathering in Greensboro hosted by NC Stangs. I’ll post up the dyno sheet and videos soon too :)

Gen 3 Coyote Swapped 93 Cobra

The TKX is an interesting experience. Quite mechanical and notchy feeling when slow shifting at low rpms. However, quick shifts at high rpm have been flawless especially with the MGW shifter I added a week ago. Will report back after the track events to see how she really does.

Gen 3 Coyote Swapped 93 Cobra

Thanks! Keeping the cluster was important to me especially given the mileage on the car itself. Once the odo hit 21,000 I did the swap :) This car will see the track quite a bit this year - mainly road courses, but I look forward to a few 1/4 mile events too. I'll post up some pictures of...

Gen 3 Coyote Swapped 93 Cobra

What's up fellow SVTP members! Welcome to the new Coyote Swapped forum. This journey began back in early 2023 when I was itching for more power our of my 93. After a month of debating I decided to go with a Gen 3 Coyote crate engine - Christian at Power by the Hour made the fulfillment of the...

Yes it was!! Though a bit loud :). It’s expensive to support a competitive car in CS though. I’m hoping to get back into MM next year or try TS. Watching made me get the itch to get back in it. Sent from my iPhone using the svtperformance.com mobile app

Looking for Gen 3 Custom Air intake ideas

I've seen that kit. PBH has been awesome to work with so far on my build. It's tough to spend $500 on those materials though, but it may be the best option.

Looking for Gen 3 Custom Air intake ideas

The orientation of the airbox from the Gen 3 is at the wrong angle to work for my setup. If the inlet tube molded into the box was at a 90deg angle it likely would have worked with some trimming of the bottom. Bummer that it is not setup that way! However, I’ll look at that AFE. Sent from...
