Thanks guys. For now it would be on pump 93. yes I have heard I can't go crazy with the timing. Right now it doesn't have much timing in it (I think 10*) but it is rich as hell.
I think my PCM code is AOL9E or something like that.
Then I also have no IMRC's, no cats, no smog pump, and no...
I did a search and couldn't find a thread or sticky on how to start tuning my own car. I figured I built the motor might as well do the tuning.
I don't know much about tuning other than what timing (advanced/retard), A/F ratios (lean and rich) do and what the results are when they are changed...
my T45 has lasted through 5800-6200 rpm clutch dumps on 28" slicks behind my 5.4 (360rwtq). I had it built by Zak so its got upgraded shift forks, syncros, and a 26 spline input.
But I haven't taken it to the track with the blower yet but around town its takes a spirited blast through the...
I have done it with the motor in the car. It can be done. You need the ford valve spring compressor tool.
1. Take off the front timing cover
2. take off the intake
3. valve covers (obviously)
4. unbolt the motor mounts to allow you to rotate the motor to help whatever side you are doing
5. a...
I shoehorned a 465 into a 98 basket. I also made a plastic baffle to prevent sloshing. Works like a charm. 15$ for the plastic gas can and 128$ for the pump. Sure beats 350+ for a new tank.

I could be wrong but that is 250k per account not per person. So you could open up a ton of accounts in your name.
EDIT: Nevermind. lol. I was wrong:
The FDIC insures deposits according to the ownership category in which the funds are insured and how the accounts are titled. The standard...
True story. A buddy of mine's parents hit the Florida Lotto when it first started back in the 90's. He and I were in high school together. They got 7 mil and chose to get it over the 20yr span. IIRC after taxes it was something like 200k a year.
In school he had friends come out of the...
Nevermind. they don't. I thought they did. I can dig my manual. I could have sworn the bolt sizes are in there.

I drove my 98 off the showroom floor. I was looking for the bright atlantic blue and couldn't find it. Settled for laser red. I still have the window sticker. It read 26,400$. Kept it stock for about a year. Then it all went down hill when I went down the track for my first time to a blistering...
I guess I should have clarified..when I say "under peak" that means anything below where the hp falls off. It can be lower OR higher in the rpm band. In this case yes my largest gains where after peak occurred. It just didn't fall off as fast. here is a thread about it...
Typical gains are between 15-20rwhp at peak. Gains under the peak can be as much as 30rwhp. No torque loss as long as the tune is given additional timing low and mid range.
I've been looking at belts lately and I can't find a green fleetrunner gates belt for my size. However I found a 12 rib that is less than 1/4" shorter.
Would it work if I got that belt and down the middle and split it into 2 6 rib belts? :)

One thing I noticed on my OEM tensioner is that it would bounce around a little bit. I will try the additional pulley first and a better belt. Then if that doesn't work I'll rob a bank and get the thumper. ;)
Its not a run of the mil setup but I have a 5.4 4v with a novi 2k. 3.5" on the blower and a 12% OD crank. The belt has good wrap around the pulley (6 rib) and the tensioner arm is right in the middle of the stops. The belt is 117.3" long.
Is it possible to add a 2nd tensioner on the drivers...
I know it as inevitable but now that I have done it I don't want it to happen again. I blipped the gas in 2nd and left off quick. Do stick cars throw belts more than autos?
I have the steel OEM tensioner. On my timing cover I can add a idler pulley between the alt and the power steering pump...
10yrs ago my bolt-on full weighted 98 went 12.4 on slicks n/a. With weight reduction I got it down to 11.8 at 115. Valve covers were never taken off. 320rwhp.
I posted vids on here and on youtube. Those were the fun days. Nothing broke cause it wasn't making any power. lol. Now it seems I'm...
