Very nice. 2011 is a good year. Mine is one of those no rain drop, low milers. Welcome.

    Retrofitting '13/'14 GT500 Bilstein Damp-Tronic's to any '07-'12 GT500

I found the normal setting to be very similar to my 2011 SVT PP with Bilsteins. Which is outstanding. Much better than the factory Tokiko's

    Retrofitting '13/'14 GT500 Bilstein Damp-Tronic's to any '07-'12 GT500

I have had both cars and systems. On my 2013 I found the sport setting to be too firm for Houston's bad streets. I kept mine off sport. I have Bilsteins on my 2011 and do not miss electronic control. Elementary system that wasn't needed for street driving. IMO.

Shelby GT500 brakes, rotors and shock recommendations PLEASE

Bilsteins are huge improvements in every way from the cheap Tokico's with 6k miles on them. All my cars and trucks get Bilsteins along with Michelins.

Just purchased a 2011 GT500 SVT. I have some questions.

Welcome to the SVT forum. As others have said, get to know the car. What mods you want or need will be more clear after a few miles driven. Get to know the different brands and applications.

Shelby GT500 brakes, rotors and shock recommendations PLEASE

For As the OP indicated he is not going use it for track or auto X . So that's not a factor here. For me it's about street driving. With Houston's streets, lowering is out of the question. Unless it just a show car. And you don't drive it around. I find Bilsteins to give control on the...

Shelby GT500 brakes, rotors and shock recommendations PLEASE

The prices for rear 4 piston rear brakes is insane. Solid axle makes it more so. They are nice. But six pistons in the front, floating calipers in the rear is more than enough for most applications.. But the 4 pistons are real nice bling. I wish they had a kit to fit my old 4 piston Brembos on...

A word of warning about Weldcraft Wheels wheel widening.

Chromed aluminum wheels corrode over time. Causes chrome flaking, usually starts with scrapes around the bead because of wrong tools used during installation and wheel weights on the outer rim. Common stuff over time. Once this starts it's like cancer. Best to junk the wheel. IMO

    Considering 2011 GT500, help me!

I only buy low mileage when used. I just picked up a 2011 Race red with 5k one owner Arizona miles. Original F1s like new. As honest a car as you could find. Never seen a wet road. I would not buy a GT500 with more than 25k miles. Too many chances to run it ragged. That's just me.

New Shelby Owner. Glad I found this forum.

Big worm stripes are great. But stay away from gloss. They ALL have terrible orange peel. No matter the brand. I just bought a 2011 GT500 with 5k miles. I have had a 2013 in the past. They are both are so damn fast. Speed mods are the last thing on my mind. I do like the idea of a better heat...
